Just like with all things, there is a wide range of skillsets in shooting. And you have to be able to pass a shooting test to be able to get a carry permit, those would not pass. Do you judge all members of a USGA by a few Sunday duffer golfers' scorecards?

Neatly sidestepping the challenge of repeating what I am certain was your outrage at years worth of lefty protestors calling for the death of Bush. I guess that means we're free to infer you at least didn't care about those calls (or perhaps agreed with them). So it's bad to name a target "Barry," but not bad to call for the death of Bush in various ways.

So now it's a matter of "legislative effectiveness." That's the "Rover Theorem." He voted against pedophile Gerry Studds not because he was cornholing congressional pages, but because he'd lost his "legislative effectiveness." The Sun King badly "misunderestimated" the public's view on expanding gun control. While support for new legislation seemed wide (90% we were told endlessly) it was very shallow. Only 6% of Americans listed gun control as a top problem facing the country*. So he got his b*lls handed to him. After ruthlessly manipulating the grief of the Connecticut families. And he and you want to blame the NRA for that. And he, like you, condescendingly refers to the NRA as a "special interest." While unions, especially teachers unions, and various other liberal pleaders are the "voice of the people."

Even the NRA deserves to be defended against reflexive libstain barnyard excrement. As I've posted at least a dozen times, they lost me for good when Wayne LaPierre referred to murdered ATF agents in Waco as "jack booted government thugs." He and other NRA leaders routinely engage in over the top anti-government rhetoric and conspiracy theories. However, that's neatly balanced by the rhetoric you and others also routinely engage in when it comes to the NRA or the efficacy of your proposed "gun control" measures.

I guess you and Dianne didn't notice that when there was an "assault" weapons ban for ten years, crimes utilizing those weapons didn't decline. And when the ban expired, crimes utilizing those weapons didn't increase.

I'm really conflicted here. Part of me doesn't want us to have to use those bad boys. But another part of me wants to see them in action. These things are precision guided. And even more precise with the upgrades. It's counter-intuitive, I think, to talk in terms of precision when you're discussing a 30K pound weapon.

During the first Gulf War we employed the Daisy Cutter against Iraqi positions in Kuwait. It has since been replaced by the MOAB. Anyway, we would pamphlet a sector of the Iraqi line, letting them know the date and time that we were going to drop the largest non nuclear weapon in the world on their heads. And that they might want to make plans to get out of Dodge.
