Re: Nice Planet 3: I Can't Believe I Share A Planet With THESE People!
Like everyone else who holds a Master's Degree, I've written a lot of papers, but the Acer cases were never the subject of any of them. I never considered law school, because while it would've been relatively easy with the writing and arguing skills everyone's always told me I have, I felt it was too slimy a profession for me; I blame Geoffrey Fieger
. In hindsight, it's more likely because I felt I was too shy, and I was more interested in airplanes at the time.
Now, the significance of said novel vs. reality is too old for me to grasp. However, I did not know that that is how "Squeaky" got her nickname.
As to the guy in Oklahoma, given the scope of the problem (they don't have patient records that go back further than 5 years I believe) this could be way worse than Acer. Thanks for the explanation of how such a young guy made the connection so quickly. I was thinking you'd written a paper or something.

Old Pio said:Years ago, on a Friday, we had gone to lunch at Luby's and came back feeling like we were ready for the weekend. The AP began sending "bulletins" and "urgents" about an apparent attempt on Gerald Ford. As these things happen, the story developed with the passing of time. Additional details were added. Coincidentally, I had just finished reading Vince Bugliosi's "Helter Skelter," the story of the Tate murders and his prosecution of the Manson gang. Anyway, within a few minutes, AP said the young woman arrested was Lynette Fromm. I got a cold chill. My God, Squeaky tried to kill the president. I'll never forget that moment.
