In addition to being in a Democratically-favored district, I gotta think it's hard to win it without being in bed with corrupt individuals and special interests on some level regardless of party affiliation. But then again, this probably goes without saying for all of America's congressional districts these days. :( :rolleyes:

Well, we're talking about a Chicago CD, after all. However, not all "special interests" are the same. Some, like bankers, businessmen, the NRA, etc. are bad. Others, like unions, welfare recipients, tree huggers, etc. aren't special interests at all.

Some father's precious snowflake isn't getting enough playing time on their bouncyball team...so he HIRES A PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR to dig up dirt on the coach and get him fired. Said PI discovers a raunchy ten-minute film he made with some film school friends a decade ago and he's sacked.

If that father mysteriously shoots himself in the back of the head ten times I don't think anyone would notice. Just throwin' that out there.

Sounds like it was more about a player bullying someone's snowflake, than it was about a kid's playing time. Still, not an outward excuse to go and get the coach canned over some Z-list film he was in a decade ago.

I don't see where it says that. It says a parent didn't like how his kid was treated as a player. Apparently, they had a meeting with the board with unanimous public support for the coach, including from Joe Pantoliano.Apparently, they had a meeting with the board with unanimous public support for the coach, including from Joe Pantoliano.

The comments sections also indicate said parent is widely known as an ***hole, and his kid is regarded as a "good kid"

And once again the only civil rights that we need be concerned about are those of the minority downtrodden, not you, me, and our normal kids.

But, truth be told, I wish restrooms were like some I saw in Europe, one door into the restrooms for everybody, with stalls with actual doors and walls that fully enclosed them. Then a row of sinks in a common area. Complete privacy where you need it, no privacy where you don't. No BS about who goes where, how many stalls to put in which room, and whose line is longer.

I'd imagine if you check ancestry.com you'd discover "Dr. Palmer" is related to Barney Fife. "Good kid" or not, how is the son of this a*shole going to be treated by other players and students?

IMO, the school is in the right. First graders should not be dealing with this issue, but now the parents have made it even worse for the kid down the road by making a fuss and getting all lawsuit happy.

Our school system is raising a bunch of pansies. Thank god my parents sent me to private grade schools.
