Go see Clerks 2. Be prepared to be offended. ;)

I'll save you the time. NSFW.

Well, looks like I'm gonna have to adjust my list just a little. Used to be "Citizen Kane," "Godfather II," "Casablanca" and "Rear Window." Now I'm not so sure.

Re: Nice Planet 2010

Actually, the "media figure" to whom you refer (Palin?) didn't use anyone's face on her web page, just a location on a map. And her use of "cross hairs" came before Tucson, not after. Morally equivalent? That's up to you. But I'll just take any sliver of agreement I can get, given that we've had any number of posts on this thread justifying or at least not condemning calling Herman Cain a "monkey." So we've made some progress toward applying these standards fairly. And for that I am grateful.

I don't know if I'd say "morally equivalent", but at a certain point, all of the scum of the world just sort of belongs in the same general category. Or, as the case is, the Nice Planet (c) thread.

All Sirhan Sirhan did was assassinate a United States senator in a room full of witnesses. He should have been executed for that crime. And certainly should never be released, especially to return to Palestine where he would doubtless be held up as a great hero, in much the same way as the bomber of the flight that crashed in Scotland has been hailed.

Some of the same people who've made a living with lies and phony "evidence" of a conspiracy to kill JFK, have tried the same thing with Sirhan. Rosie Greer grabbed him and disarmed him even as he continued to pull the trigger. Notwithstanding some confusion about whether some of the holes in the walls of the hotel kitchen were bullet holes or not there can be no doubt about Sirhan's guilt.

This ambulance chasing "lawyer" Pepper peddled a "theory" that Army Special Forces personnel assassinated Dr. King. And like all such bottom feeders, had no problem smearing and slandering people without any evidence to back up his claims. Sam Donaldson put Pepper together with one of the Green Berets in Memphis that day, and for a quick moment, it looked like the old boy was going to put Pepper down, right there on national TV. The "lawyer" began crawfishing all over the place. He is a thoroughly disreputable person and you attach any significance to his "theories" at your own peril.

James Earl Ray killed Dr. King and Sirhan B. Sirhan murdered RFK. Cases closed.

I've often joked about plowing into them because they're all a bunch of snobby pr*cks. But to actually do it...?

Honestly though, and I'm not implying they deserved this although at least someone is going to rant about it, they should have seen this coming. They constantly taunt and frustrate the motorists of (apparently) the world. You don't kick the hornets' nest if you don't want to be stung. I see this becoming more and more common. :(

That's why I liked this one: it's a Nice Planet story no matter which way you slice it. You either look at what that jackwagon did to those bicyclists and wish he would get raped by a potato peeler or you believe what the motorist has said about the bikers threatening his kid. It's a win-win situation... if by "win" you mean "scum".

And from some accounts, they routinely break laws (most of them minor ones, but still; if you want to raise awareness or whatever, obey every law), such as running stoplights, not signalling their turns, etc etc. And from most accounts, the police forces let it happen, as long as nothing goes wrong because it's not worth the hassle (and I kind of see their point).

Re: Nice Planet 2010

Not only do the police allow it to happen, they literally escort them around the cities. It's pathetic. Critical Mass is a piece of **** organization.

I wouldn't run them over, but I'd love to give them a good scare. Even my dad, an avid cyclist (used to ride the RAGBRAI, which was a ride across Iowa in a week, American Lung events, along with other charity rides), despises them.

I've scared the chit out of some doosh on a bike before. The tool flew through a stop sign without even slowing down, I almost hit that bastard, not on purpose, because he had no respect for traffic laws. I laid on the horn, and scared the crap out of the guy, he was so startled that he tipped over. Then the nutjob had the audacity to blame me and give me the finger. I was already on my way, so I didn't care. I hope he busted something up in that fall.

Re: Nice Planet 2010

I haven't hit someone on a bike, but they have hit me. :)

Surprise surprise, it was in Dinkytown. He flew through a red light and ran right into the front of my car. Lucky for him he merely grazed the front, so I didn't have any damage. I didn't see him coming either, he came out from behind a van that was stopped at the red light. He went flying and his bike continued into a car going the other way. Neither of us stopped because he just got up and kept going.
