Easy there, Hux! Hey, it's cool, I see the wink in your post. Hey, we're neighbors (USA & Canada)! If we're gonna lose two gold medal games, I'd rather it be to Canada than someone else. Lord knows a vast number of Canadian players have chosen to leave their homeland and play college hockey for my Ohio State Buckeyes and I wouldn't trade them for anyone. I have a nice collection of hockey jerseys and would like to have a Team Canada in the collection. From what I can find, though, looks like I am going to have to shell out the bucks if I want it personalized.

5 4 Fighting & Cammie, Thank you both for the information! :) Mrs 86 got me a 1980 Miracle On Ice USA hockey sweater for my b-day. She actually ordered it from icejerseys.com. The other day I was on there and saw the Team Canada 2010 Olympic jerseys were marked down so I pulled the trigger and ordered one. I'm having it personalized so it won't ship until August. Can't wait to get it.

Nothing new here in central Ohio, basically just wanted to get this back on page one and see if any of you in the GTA or elsewhere have heard anything new on this. Isn't the CWHL draft going to be held soon? :)

Burlington's having a skate in a couple of weeks. Invitations have been sent.

Word is that Angela James has applied for one of the coaching jobs...the rest is just rumours.

News is dribbling out like molasses on a January day. :( :(

Seymore, thanks! That's more than I knew yesterday! I hear you on the news dribbling out like molasses on a January day. I check in with that CWHL website periodically and there's just not much news these days. :(

If you know the CWHL and their leadership......that should be no surprise!! Honestly guys/gals...all this talk of NHL affiliation is a pipedream at this point!!

OK..you get rid of Ottawa and Vaughan.....without an NHL deal....leaves you with 3 GTA teams and a Quebec team....oh..and a Boston team if they come into play!! The CW has had issues with dollars since the beginning...how is Boston going to afford the travel this season without NHL involvement?? And believe me...there is NO way, NO way, that this deal will get done in time for this coming season!!

Burlington is having skates because the NHL deal will not get done this season...they are keeping their options open....smart move on their part by the hardest working and best coached team in the league....hands down!!

And who might the Burlington coaches be, because according to the website, coaches needed to apply and the CWHL would be choosing the coaches. I think some of your facts are inaccurate.
When is this proposed skate, because my rumors say none of the players have been informed.

The Boston team is a done deal. They even have their own coach bus to travel to games. ;)

I saw the list of players invited to Burlington. The dates have been set.

And I know for a fact that there will be an attractive financial package for all teams.

Love these "Negative Nancys" with their doom and gloom...glad they're not involved in this venture!!

Yes, it's gonna be a tough road...but face it...ya gotta start somewhere!

This NN really hasn't heard a whole lot about this but it's not like I've been looking for it either. Why the cone of silence, don't get that. Actually, now I get it. The light just turned on. Great news. Just wondering Seymore, how much have you got invested in this ah venture? :)

Apparentley two trophies on his mantle and a couple of tin rings. Don't count ol' Seyless out though he's looking for more. ;)

PC is the coach of Burlington...so my facts are in order...but hey...leave it to this group to try and make a coaching change there!!

Attractive financial package?? Who are you kidding?? The CW has had an "attractive" financial package from the get-go...it was tough grabbing the necessary sponsors in the beginning..but c'mon.

And believe me....I am all for a league that would put an end to the ego driven, mindless decision maker known as SJS!! But hey, you probably do believe that she also started this league and was the driving force behind it. The only driving force that she should be attached to is running a stagnant league for the last 3 years and solidifying her resume as the biggest ego driven media hound this side of the Atlantic..LOL!!

If the NHL does become involved.....at least the current format will be abolished....and THAT my friends...is a step in the right direction!!

And wooden-stick...just a handle!! Been married for quite too long to use a "Wooden" stick..LOL

Absolutely no axe to grind at all....just tired of promises being made to organizations and not being met...and tired of a few dictating what goes on. Wait...sounds like the OWHA...no..wait..it is!!!!
