NHL 2019-20 #1: Where Toronto Plans To Win Without Playing Defense.

Re: NHL 2019-20 #1: Where Toronto Plans To Win Without Playing Defense.

Mr game 7 giving it one last go. Signs with the Canes for 700k + possible 1.3 Million in bonuses.

Goalie goals are fun.

They are. Someday somebody's gonna Vandermeer it and score 2 in one game.

Cornell goalie Mitch Gillam got the only Cornell goalie goal in history in his first game.

Re: NHL 2019-20 #1: Where Toronto Plans To Win Without Playing Defense.

The Leafs put this one in the "L" column before the game even started.

7-1 halfway through the second.

Re: NHL 2019-20 #1: Where Toronto Plans To Win Without Playing Defense.

7-3 still in the 2nd. Greatest comeback ever?

Re: NHL 2019-20 #1: Where Toronto Plans To Win Without Playing Defense.

Isles looking for the extra point against the Wings and it's only the second period.

Re: NHL 2019-20 #1: Where Toronto Plans To Win Without Playing Defense.

Hey. The Wings cut it to 8-2.

Givanni Smith gets his first career goal.

Re: NHL 2019-20 #1: Where Toronto Plans To Win Without Playing Defense.

In all seriousness, this is hideous. It also shows the Wings' biggest need. They have NO goaltending in this organization. Nothing on the way. Bernier is not a long-term answer, and Jimmy Howard is 35 (soon to be 36) and looks shot.

Re: NHL 2019-20 #1: Where Toronto Plans To Win Without Playing Defense.

I've been saying for two-plus seasons now that Howard is toast. Too many groin injuries.

Re: NHL 2019-20 #1: Where Toronto Plans To Win Without Playing Defense.

Again, the bigger problem is, nothing is on the way.
