NHL 2018-19 Part 1 - No power outage in Toronto this year!!

Re: NHL 2018-19 Part 1 - No power outage in Toronto this year!!

He's wrong about Swedes.

He's right about "LLLLLLLLLLLLETS GET READY TO RUMMMMMMMMMMMMMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" F-ck that minor league hockey sh-t.

No, he's wrong about that, too. Especially if it gets the Sun Belt into the sport. It's like Tex-Mex ("gringo") tacos served with hard shells, tomato, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream, rather than proper corn tortillas, onions, and cilantro.

The Messicans have already invaded America, whether Dumpies like it or not. ;)

No he's not wrong about that.
They are having fun...stop being a snob.

I'm anti-Carolina because of Dundon. Not that I cared much about the AAF, but it's pretty crappy what he did to all the players and staff involved with that league.

stop being a snob.

I got nowhere else to go.

Hockey is great on its own. Everything else on the planet is dripping with imbecility. Let's just have this one thing still have some austere dignity.

It lost all dignity ages ago with shootouts, glow in the dark pucks, ice girls, etc.

The Canes celebrations - these are done during the game or after the game is over and the opponent has left the ice?

Re: NHL 2018-19 Part 1 - No power outage in Toronto this year!!

Home game wins, after opp. has left.

I'm fine with that, as I am with the Knights' Medieval Times pregame.

Everything from 00:00 to 60:00 is sacred. The rest of the show can be for the bores and the sponsors. Just shut them up and make them invisible during the game.

Someone needs to bring back the post-goal animations Fox had with the scoring team's robot beating up the other robot.

So glad you're all bent out of shape for the fun after home game wins the 'Canes haven't done since March 28th.

Meanwhile in the World Championships, Canada lost to Finland and the USA is losing to Slovakia 3-1 in the 2nd. (4-1 final)

In the other group, Sweden beat the Czechs and Russia rolled Norway.

After Day 1 we're in the relegation zone.

Only half the teams have played, but with Germany playing Britain and Denmark vs France, we could still be there after tomorrow.

Day 3 we play France and Canada plays Britain, so after that we should be in the clear.

Let’s just not talk about GB only losing 3-1...

To be fair, playing the host team in the opening game was always gonna be a trap.

USA notches a 7-1 win over France. That’ll help the goal differential. After today I would assume GBR will be solidly in last following their matchup with the Canadians.

Italy is going to be in for a tough go of it as well in the other group. 9-0 loss to Switzerland yesterday with a game against Sweden today.
