Malkin could easily have a goal here.

Goal. And no goaltender interference, either.

US beats Canada in a shootout to open the 2018 Worlds. AKA the real 2018 Olympics

Re: NHL 2017.1: We turn over a new Leaf and still find a Penguin

Russia steamrolls France 7-0. That's what I like to see.

...Although I didn't see the point to bringing up Datsyuk, let him end his NT career as Olympic champion, get the youngsters in for 2022...

Re: NHL 2017.1: We turn over a new Leaf and still find a Penguin

Everyone in Group B gets points today! Denmark beats Germany in a shootout as well.

Another blowout over in Group A as Sweden beats Belarus 5-0.

I figure this will be a quick one and one for Korea. They got beat up badly against the Euro All-Stars in February. Can't imagine they'll fare any better having to go up against US and Canada B teams.

Didn't realize NHL Network took it back from NBCSN. Guess I'll be missing the tournament this year.

Marchand is one of the most fkd up players I've ever seen.

Jon Cooper on lick-gate: "There is absolutely no place in our game for that. I don’t get it. I don’t understand it. I don’t. How would you feel if I walked over to your right now and gave you one big lick from the chin up?"

Did he actually lick someone?

I hear Chara was giving him a talking to on the bench after the incident tonight

Pffft. He needed a "talking to" 5+ years ago. He's too talented to be pulling that sh*t (especially the last couple years in the 80+ point bracket), but here we are.

Still has a lot of productive years in front of him though.
