@JonSolomonAspen: Capitals are 13-43 in their playoff history after they take a 2-game lead. How is that possible?

Don't know the validity of this, but if it is true... WtEff.

So, say Vegas wins out. When they grant Seattle a team in five years or so, how many owners and GM's are going to want a more 90's early 00's expansion draft guaranteeing a few years of 20 wins compared to this?

Vegas 20 minutes away from going the finals up 2-1 after 2. Winnipeg native Reaves with the beautiful tip in for the go ahead goal

With the expansion fee as high as it is, I'd say no one is going to pay it without Vegas rules being in place, unless Quebec or Hamilton is desperate enough for a team to undercut Seattle by agreeing to stricter draft rules.

LOL!

Wait, you're serious?

The other 30 teams willingly gave up these guys. Some teams, in fact, offered *more* to Vegas for selecting their cast-off rejects in the expansion draft (ie: Pittsburgh gave Vegas a draft pick for taking Fleury, Florida gave Vegas Reiley Smith for taking cast off Jonathan Marchessault, Anaheim gave Vegas Shea Theodore for taking the anchor of a contract of Clayton Stoner off their hands (Stoner hasn't played a single fu**ing game this year since going on the IR with "stomach cramps" on October 3rd)). Vegas also picked three players who became free agents mere weeks later signing elsewhere, never played a single game for Vegas.

This is Vegas making 14 GM's (the ones who didn't make the playoffs) look stupid.

They're playing with house money and letting it ride. If anything, this should put the league on notice to "let the kids be kids."

BTW, Patrick Kane, who got a lot flack for seemingly not caring about playing in this World Championship, led the tournament in scoring with 20 points.

Ah there’s the comment about how the Wild gave up both tuch and haula.

I just don't see how Vegas loses with Fleury in net. Any other team would've been bounced after round 1 in four games if they only scored seven goals, let alone getting the sweep. Instead, he's had his best regular season in 8 years and his best playoff ever.
