Koivu and Vanek with 4 points each and Parise with 3 and there is still 20 minutes to play. Wild putting the smack down on the hated Canucks 6-1 after 2. Love it.

Pointstreak over for Kane :(

Overall a "meh" performance against the Avs last night...

31 years ago, at the age of 23, Gretzky notched his 1000th career point. If that doesn't make you shake your head, it was his 86th of the season... In December.

Gretzky's numbers are flat-out mind-blowing. His scoring record is 970 points ahead of the entire field. His total is 51% greater than Messier's 2nd place total of 1,887.

Patrick Kane leads the league right now with 48.

Oh, and I'm borrowing this.

The all-time NHL record in goals scored by a pair of brothers belongs to Wayne and Brent Gretzky. Brent had 4.

Re: NHL 2015, Part 3: Stanley Cup and Offseason

John Scott is no longer a member of the Coyotes.
Can he still go to the All Star game?
If he's in the minors of a team or on no team, I believe he can not go.

Correct.

As of right now, John Scott had cleared waivers prior to the Christmas roster freeze, but remains on the Arizona Coyotes roster. It was the THIRD time Arizona has waived him this season. If they keep John Scott for 10 games played or 30 days (which ever comes first), he must once again clear waivers before the ability to be assigned to Springfield (the AHL affiliate).

The Coyotes are currently carrying the league max in roster players (23), with four additional players on injured reserve.

Tommie Aaron, along with his brother -- his brother's name escapes me --hold the MLB record for most home runs by a pair of brothers, with 768.
