And your All Star Game Captains are:
NEW YORK – Forwards Jaromir Jagr of the Florida Panthers, Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks, Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals and John Scott of the Arizona Coyotes are the first four players to earn spots in the 2016 Honda NHL All-Star Game in Nashville, courtesy of fan balloting in the 2016 NHL All-Star Fan Vote.

Patrick Roy pulling a goalie with 11 minutes left is clever hockey and I hope that becomes commonplace.

That said, **** Patrick Roy with a rusty rake

With the salary escrow at 16% and slated to go higher, it makes sense for NHL players to play Powerball.

So there is quite the p*ssing match going on right now between the Preds and the Hawks bandwagon... Never seen a team go this far in order to keep opposing fans out....
The Preds are way over the line in multiple respects. If they want to limit single game ticket sales to over-the-counter transactions, I guess they're within their rights. But IMHO they have no business interfering with the secondary ticket market, and certainly no business trying to deny admission to a lawful ticketholder based on home address.

Not only are they in the wrong, I also believe they're being stupid. In my experience, nothing riles up the home folks more than a large contingent of visiting fans. But no matter how many Hawk fans gain access to Bridgestone, Preds fans will still have a comfortable majority. A loud, sold-out Bridgestone benefits the Preds; it's not some sort of problem for them.

Full disclosure: I acknowledge my Pro-Blackhawks bias and admit I've thought about making the trip to Nashville to support the Hawks. So maybe it's just that it's my ox being gored. But I sincerely believe my opinion would be the same regardless of which franchise was being targeted.

Another angle: I've previously taken the position that Nashville would be a good Frozen Four host. But if the Nashville hockey community is going to be this unwelcoming to outsiders, I definitely need to take a second look at that.

Re: NHL 2015, Part 3: Stanley Cup and Offseason

I'd have to imagine they'd be open to lawsuits if they denied a ticket to someone who has it legally.

I can understand that it's annoying to home fans - heck, my last game at the Old Stadium was against the Wings (in their final regular season appearance there) and it was probably 40% Wings fans.

You just gotta live with it.

Preds management looks bad and plenty of Hawks fans will still get in. I'm sure many view it as a challenge now.

As a side, I do enjoy hearing the roars during road games though and there are many places where it seems as though there are more Hawks fans than the home team. Anaheim... LA... Phoenix... Florida... St. Louis... Denver...

How about this one...

How about the Preds win the frickin' games. Let the Hawks fans spend their money in your city and at the game and send them home with a loss.

Just a thought.

I like hearing the Duuuub chants when the Wild are on the road, but would rather not hear the "Lets go Jets" when Winnipeg comes to town....

I hear ya, but like I said, I've been there.

Lots of Gopher and Sioux fans used to come to the KC in the 2000s.
