Re: NHL 2015, Part 3: Stanley Cup and Offseason

Torres' days of being a useful pest who could chip in are long over. These days, he's just a dangerous goon who is eventually going to end someone else's career if the NHL doesn't end his.

Oh fer krissakes. First shot by Montreal handcuffs Bernier and slides over the goal line. Gonna be a loooong season in Leaf land. Second shot gets him a Bronx cheer after the save!

This is just sad. Putin scores 7 goals in a game held in honor of his 63rd birthday. Some former NHL greats, all Russians, were on hand for the game.

Russian president Vladimir Putin spent his 63rd birthday on Wednesday by pretty much attending a hockey fantasy camp. He was in Sochi celebrating with friends and famous Russian hockey players like Slava Fetisov, Pavel Bure, Alexander Mogilny and Valeri Kamensky.

They played some shinny, and in a surprise Putin’s team won 15-10 with the Russian president scoring seven goals.

Somehow shinny has expanded to include goalies playing using regulation pads and NHL regulation nets.

Here's the video:

I can't imagine how much pride that goalie had to swallow going into that game in order to let Putin score on that limp wristed shot. And he had to do it six more times. It's almost as bad as Kim Jong Il's 18 straight hole-in-one shots, and proclaiming golf to be a very basic, simple game to master.

The road to losing to the Blackhawks in the playoffs begins tonight for the Wild. Woo woo.

Jeebus, he skates like me.:rolleyes:He couldn't score in a peewee C game far less against former pros if he wasn't the boss.

I am sure that the Avalanche will help you get off to a good start in getting there tonight. Once again they can't score to start the season just like last year.

That sound you hear is Gary Bettman's head exploding from not thinking of the idea first.

For the purity of the game, in order to retain the red posts, he's talking with State Farm at the moment.
