NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

I used to be that guy with the full shield when I played minor hockey and found that taking some shampoo with no conditioner, and rubbing it on the inside worked well to eliminate fog. Somebody has suggested it, and sure enough it worked. Plus it made my helmet smell a little better ;)

I'm gonna have to try it then. The spray the gave me sucks.

How cold are the arenas down there? When I was in PeeWee I had an Itech. I only remember it fogging up in the really cold rinks like Delano, Osseo-Maple Grove, and The Bubble in Inver Grove Heights...

As far as the Hawks are concerned, I'll take it... Good teams win ugly, and tonight was no exception... Nice to see Carcillo get the game winner as well... He deserves it...

Have you tried CAT CRAP? Seriously, that is the name of the product...

This is by far the best anti-fog product I have every used... Never left for a snowboard race without it... Know it's used by several World Cup racers as well... Very simple to use and fairly cheap as well...

Last two nights have seen teams forecheck us pretty good though and that's a concern for a team like Chicago who's plan is predicated on puck possession.

Now to be real, it's only a concern where the streak is concerned. Right now the Hawks are getting everyone's best shot and tonight was not their best effort. Once the streak ends, things will return to normal and then the Hawks can try to do enough to secure home ice through the playoffs.

As a fan, I hope they get the streak. No doubt.

But another Cup or at least a really deep run is the real goal.

After this start, if majority stays healthy, a Cup is the only successful season.

Other than losing Detroit to the east, I like it.

Oh well, they'll probably be back after the Coyotes move to Quebec City.

Won't miss C-bus and would rather play Winnipeg. Look forward to the Wild being in the same division.

I am much happier with realignment

Disagree; the 'Yotes aren't moving as long as Bettman is in charge. QC is more likely to get a team through expansion, since it's now a rumor that the NHL will go to 32 teams within a decade.

Sorry to say, I'm quite happy to play Toronto, Montreal, Boston, and Buffalo at Chicago's expense. Don't give much of a d*mn about the rest of the old Central.

That new Midwest division is currently pretty effing competitive. Perhaps the most balanced in the new alignment.

Don't worry, we'll get by somehow without you. Hate those 6:30 cst start times for division games anyway. :p

I'm actually quite happy to lose Columbus. Wish we could send Nashville with them.

I equally hate regular 10 and 10:30 start times on the west coast. At least you're an hour earlier for those. Plus, Chicago is primed to take over dominance of the West with Detroit on the way out, and Vancouver being a never-ever. :p

I secretly kinda-sorta like Trashville, to the point that I'd rather have them go east than C-b*tch; they're usually a PITA to play against. I think Barry Trotz has mastered the trap even more than Lemaire, but he's twenty years too short and it just doesn't work in 2013 where most teams adjust.

I like the later start times coz then most around here are in bed or at least done with dinner and all that. East coast games and games in Detroit or Columbus just don't fit my night-owl schedule. I can see where that hour makes a difference for you though.

The older I get, the more prone I am to falling asleep for the third period of those Pacific time zone games. Wake up at 2:00 am and have to go online to find out how it ended. Hasn't happened yet this season though as the streak has me pretty engaged in each game.

I don't mind Nashville, but it's one of those opponents that just has no juice, no fire. Columbus is even worse. Blah!

I can see how Detroit kinda belongs in the east now and it will be cool for you guys to get to play Toronto and Montreal more. I still remember when Toronto was in our division. Ottawa may become a decent rival for you.

Just hate to lose a quality opponent that I can get excited about watching us play. I've never hated the Wings like 99% of other Hawks fans do. Quality organization and worthy of respect. I always thought, "Don't hate them. BEAT them."

PS Let's hope that Vancouver always remains a "never-ever."

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

I was hoping to have Detroit in the same division again, but oh well. I'll be happy to see Winnipeg, St. Louis, and Chicago regularly again.

Being in a division with Toronto, Montreal, and Boston is the big thing, even if it ultimately means a few rebuilding years for the Wings. The rest is like, "Well, Buffalo and Ottawa are usually competitive, Tampa is currently led by Stevie Y, and Florida is the new Columbus, so..."

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

Living in Tampa now and being a Wings fan? Ya, not a fan of this alignment at all ;).

Stoked for a little change. I can definitely see Detroit and Toronto renewing the rivalry, as well as the other eastern original 6 teams.

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

If Phoenix gets moved, they'll go to Seattle. The Panthers will move to Quebec. Expanding would be downright insane at this point.
