Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

The Wild win 2-1 with Kuemper in the net.

:)

Evidently, the Hawks didn't watch your game against Anaheim. I did and was nervous till the end.

It was a nightmare trying to get out of our zone in that third period.

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

I like that the Wild don't quit on games. I would like to see them not get in those positions in the first place though. Especially against teams like Anaheim and Chicago.

Rest of the month for the Hawks: COL x 3, EDM, CBJ, DAL, ANA x2, LAK, CGY, and DET

I'd guess Anaheim is the best bet for them to lose in regulation this month

So I turn to the Canucks/Sharks game and the Sharks are up 2-0 with 6:00 to go in the 2nd. Sweet!

Now it's 2-2.

Quick could steal one from them as well. It's crazy to think that we're almost halfway through and they've yet to be beaten by a goal scored with time on the clock. (three shootout "losses")

Anaheim is the game that would either tie or break the record.

You know hockey though. Strange things can happen in a single game.

At this point it won't shock me if they just go ahead and break the record, but it also won't shock me if they lose to Columbus or anyone else. They haven't exactly been dominant.

You can only score timely goals for so long.

Right...it'll probably be Edmonton or Calgary on a dump in with some strange bounce that goes off a stanchion, 7 players, and a rut in the ice. :D

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

I keep waiting patiently for the statistical correction to occur, but nothing yet. :(

It's going to be a crappy team that does it. One the 'Hawks are looking past. I honestly think the Avalanche could be the team.

I hope Staal can still see out of that eye.
That just looked nasty.

Re: NHL 2013 - The Lower 48.

Maybe they'll require face shields now. Oh wait, nope. Why not? See: Bill Masterson/helmets. Yeah, oops.

The ONE thing that bugs me about the NHL......

The puck to the face that Stahl is scary but I think it is a players choice to wear a visor or not, they know the risks.
