If he does not get suspended, something is really, really wrong.Nice uncalled trip before that goal. And of course Ovechkin won't get suspended.
Which begs the question why he never wore #5??Happy Rob DiMaio

Shea Weber just called Ovi to tell him nice hit and not to worry.
No hearing for Ovi the Gr8.
No comments on this? US beats Canada and nobody comments? It's practically a National *ing Holiday when we beat Canada. I almost felt bad for a Canadian coworker today. Almost.IIHF Final:
USA 4 CAN 3 OT
Jack Johnson with the OT Winner on the PP (Tavares Delay of Game 59:59). Thanks to TSN Toronto radio for giving live coverage of the game.

It's Canada. It's the IIHF World Championships. Basically, the equivalent of the NIT for the teams that didn't make the playoffs or were eliminated early.
It's Canada.
But is only matters if it's the Olympics, and a REAL gold medal is on the line. Sure, it's nice to beat Canada in other tournaments, but...

literally losing to this roster

Canada's got a number of all-stars on their roster.
I don't even recognize more that half our team.
Besides that, every Canadian will tell you that their 5th team could beat our best.
This is a good win and Canadians are embarrassed right now although they'll say that this tourney really doesn't matter - since they lost.
Either way, they wanted to win and they didn't.
I do agree that after comparing rosters, this was definitely an upset. I'm just a little hesitant to celebrate because the woman's team also beat Canada, then lost in the champ game in OT. You expect them to meet again so it's tough to be overly celebratory. If it was an elimination game you'd see much more excitement.
That's the big thing here, I thought we'd be lucky to keep it close.I was pleasantly surprised that we didn't lose by 5, so a win was nice.
