It's just that the "NJ ruined* hockey 17 years ago and I'm still mad about it" angle is old and tired. And yes, I'm venting a bit.


*NJ didn't ruin hockey. They played within the rules. Hate the game, not the playa.

You know, I don't have a dog in this race. I jumped on the Kings bandwagon when they beat Vancouver and the Bruins lost. But I would have been OK with NJ winning. Yet here I am, getting all weepy over this celebration. I am really happy to see this.

And wow, Jonathan Quick. I remember him at UMass, playing against BU. And not winning that much.

Congrats to the LA fans that get to see this on their ice.

One difference: the Whioux are usually not a 6 seed (or lower/higher, dunno what overall seed NJ would have had if you ranked all the playoff teams this year).

The Kings were ranked lower...they barely made the playoffs ;)

Otherwise I would agree with you :)
