No surprise: Minnesota at New Orleans is the opening night game.

So am I the only one who dislikes that whole Gruden thing they've been doing as I see it as a thinly disguised ploy to put Bradford/Tebow/McCoy/Clausen on the screen more, because as you know college QBs never go flat in the NFL.

I thought it was great. I used to despise Gruden, but his work on that show and in the booth has been awesome and has changed my mind.

Once again, someone in the AFC East makes a move and what does my team do... a big pile of NOTHING.

The sked comes out within the hour. Let's see how my Bills will go 0-16.

You are just the messenger...but 'good behavior'??? what is the definition of that in this case? Don't sexually assault anyone in the next few months and we'll reduce the suspension? I get it when they reduce a 15 year prison sentence to 12 for 'good behavior'.

That whole tactic is just a way to mollify one crowd while winking at the other...it is like the non-apology apology and other gimmicks that are more public relations than actual intent.

He has to be out longer than Vick...I love my dog and all but we can't equate dog fighting to raping underage girls.

False statement. According to all things documented, there was no rape.

(and before you jump all over me, he may have done this, I dunno, because there was no trial and no evidence presented)

I understand completely what you're saying, but that's what they're expecting. They may not be using those words exactly, but that's what they mean. It's the same idea for a prisoner who gets early parole for "good behavior" while living in a 6x8 cell.

My Bills will gladly take Big Ben if you want to trade him. As long as we get to the playoffs, I could care less.

The Mother Ship is reporting the suspension will be 4-6 games.

sorry if I have done that in the past

I'm still acting as the commish here so in my mind the police report describes a rape that the police botched from the start and the victim chose not to pursue. I won't call that a technicality but if the girl said she did want to press charges I doubt the DA would have refused to prosecute...so if I were commish I would be careful of looking like the NFL was relying too much on the Vinnie Barbarino "what crime?" defense.

I'm watching Dan Patrick now, and he said he wants no part of it. I think he's hoping it's only four games. But I bet the network is praying for six.

I could see Oakland being interested in this, too. #8 and a big sack of crap (JaMarcus Russell) for Big Ben.

6 game suspension, with the possibility of it being reduced to 4, or extended longer.

Oakland has a top 10 pick (#8). Wouldn't be too shocked if he got traded there.

Honestly he's not worth a first round pick right now. Especially not a top 10 pick.

That's not a bad guess at all. After all, this is the franchise that drafted Sebastian Janikowski with a 1st round pick as well.
