NFL '24-25- lots of potential, any reality?

Kudos to the Lions. 15-2 and a deserving NFC North winner / #1 seed. I don't ever want to hear a Lions' fan bitch about the officiating ever again though.

Unfortunately, Vikings will now have to go on the road to play a well-rested Rams team that beat them earlier in the season. Not fair, but the rules are what they are.

Now the officials ice Reichard. Nice job on protocol there, guys.

It's been really bad. Darnold is 14/32. A lot of those incompletions are his fault (by far his worst game of the year), but there have been probably at LEAST 6 pass interference penalties that they've missed.

Throw in the bizarre non-call for intentional grounding on Goff (that would have resulted in a safety) and then calling the exact same call against Minnesota that stalled a promising drive...

It has been very frustrating to watch.

Maybe I don’t understand PI. I didn’t think they missed any, but Sam is so bad

I felt like Detroit perfectly walking line between pest and penalty

These officials also don't understand PI. ;) The Vikings will be getting an "Apology Letter" from the NFL this week. And it will be a long letter.

I agree on Darnold. Absolute garbage. Not looking forward to next Monday. Disappointing end to an otherwise pleasantly unexpected season.

Didn't think the game would get out of hand tonight. Happy for the Lions to get the bye - they needed it. Should be a fun Wild Card round with tons of good matchups. I think the Vikings will do just fine against the Rams.

I can't remember the last time I've ever seen you upset, or certainly this upset, at the officiating.

Didn’t see the game, but I will point out that one game where the calls might have been sided for Detroit does not make up for the past. Need an entire season or two for that.

Yeah, it was just really bad. Coupled with the Vikings lousy performance on offense, and it had a feeling of collusion (not that I even remotely think there was actual collusion, just that it felt like it).

At least USA won gold.

But again, kudos to the Lions. Very deserving North champs and #1 seed.

You guys are funny. And it shows how conditioned fans are that the refs should go against them- one game where close call go their way, it’s the worst reffing ever and possibly collusion. We’ve dealt with that for decades, you can deal with it in one game that the refs turned off the distaste for the Ford family.

In a statement Wednesday evening, the NFL said it continues to prepare for theVikings/Rams game to be played Monday night at SoFi Stadium as scheduled, but if it had to be moved, it would take place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

I would say something about LA losing home field advantage, but really the move would just punish all the Viking fans that already booked flights and rooms.

Add another to the list;

Former Tennessee Titans star tight end Frank Wycheck suffered from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), the degenerative brain disease linked to repeated blows to the head, at the time of his death just over a year ago.

Wycheck's family confirmed the CTE diagnosis in a statement released Thursday, 13 months after the three-time Pro Bowler died from an apparent fall inside his home.
