NFL '24-25- lots of potential, any reality?

Week 18 scheduled finalized. Entire AFC north playing Saturday. Clev/Bal early, Cincy/Pitt late. Kansas City/Den is late afternoon Sunday along with Miami @ Jets. Those games will decide who gets that last playoff spot and seeding. Carolina @ ATL and NO @ Tampa are 11 AM games. That will decide the NFC South. Not surprisingly, Vikes/Lions is the Sunday night game.

I’m interested to see how hard the Lions play tonight. They have nearly nothing to play for. Campbell is aggressive so I doubt he’d preach anything other than 100%, but players still know the situation.

Nope. The only impact tonight's game will have is if next week's Vikings-Lions game ends in a tie.

If the Lions win tonight, they would get the #1 seed if next weekend's game ends all square.

If the Lions lose or tie tonight, the Vikings would get the #1 seed if next weekend's game ends in a draw.

Otherwise...no impact.

Lions need one stop. Just one. Why do I doubt they will get one all game? The D is looking like they did at the beginning of the 2022 season.

Mayo gets outcoached again. The Buffalo franchise must be laughing their asses off

Commanders get a last second TD to win and retain 6 seed, which ends up immediately being moot as Bears beat Packers as time runs out.

I assume when they flipped the Jets tarp over it was also backwards, and had been printed inverted?

With the Rams losing today, and hosting the #5 seed next weekend, the Vikings could wind up having their season go as follows:
- Win 5 straight to get to 5-0;
- Lose back-to-back games to the Lions then Rams to fall to 5-2;
- Win 9 straight to get back in the mix at 14-2;
- Lose back-to-back games to the Lions then Rams to end the season.

Quite frankly, that's the type of poetic failure the Vikings excel at throughout their history. Place your bets accordingly. :p

Special teams getting in on the suckage. Good thing the defense showed up so far, pretty amazing to only be down four points.

Yep. Nice to save the worst game of the season for the most important one (at least in the regular season).

Vikings with 4 trips to the Red Zone, and have scored a total of 6 points. Pathetic. Particularly against Detroit's defense.
