NFL 2023-24. Now without Dan Snyder!

The definition is going to be "Grabbing a runner from behind, leaving your feet, and applying your body weight to pull a runner down".

That's not just called a "tackle"?

Srsly, I would like to go back and review my high school stats, because 85% of the times I was brought down that describes it. How did I know every one of those times it was illegal?

I thought nobody caught you from behind?

It’s AFL 3.0 and they didn’t fold. A lot of teams did though. They just hired Jeff Fisher as the interim commissioner, which means that every team will finish with a .500 record.

Vikes sign Jefferson to a record deal for non-QB. Odds he goes down with a season ending injury in week 1? I'm guessing 97%.

The New York Football Giants revealed their Century Red uniforms.

My eyes! The goggles, they do nothing!

They're not exactly ugly, they just look stupid like a fake team in a game that can't afford the NFL rights.

I along with half of Twitter poked fun at Aaron Rodgers for skipping mandator Jets workouts because he just didn't feel like it. One of his super serious fanboys replied that I'm replaceable and Rodgers is not. I responded that in fact Rodgers was replaced 17 times last season. Still waiting for a retort to defend Rodgers' fine honor.

He's what, 42, and coming off a torn Achilles.

If that ain't the definition of replaceable in sports, I don't know what is.

LOS ANGELES — A jury in US District Court ordered the NFL to pay nearly $4.8 billion in damages Thursday after ruling that the league violated antitrust laws in distributing out-of-market Sunday afternoon games on a premium subscription service.

The jury awarded $4.7 billion in damages to the residential class and $96 million in damages to the commercial class. Since damages can be tripled under federal antitrust laws, the NFL could end up being liable for $14.39 billion.

The lawsuit covered 2.4 million residential subscribers and 48,000 businesses who paid for the package of out-of-market games from the 2011 through 2022 seasons on DirecTV. The lawsuit claimed the league broke antitrust laws by selling its package of Sunday games at an inflated price. The subscribers also say the league restricted competition by offering “Sunday Ticket” only on a satellite provider.

The NFL said it would appeal the verdict. That appeal would go to the 9th Circuit and then possibly the Supreme Court.

Should the NFL end up paying damages, it could cost each of the 32 teams approximately $449.6 million.
