NFL 2022-23: How About A Lions vs. Jaguars Super Bowl?

@TomPelissero

The NFL is still reviewing #Packers LB Quay Walker's actions Sunday night, but as of now, I'm told no suspension is expected. Walker was flagged and ejected for shoving a #Lions athletic trainer. The loss eliminated GB, so no rush to make a ruling. But sounds like just a fine.

Trying to imagine the MLB's response if some rookie reliever tripped the opposing team's ball boy running to the dugout.

A potential AFC Championship Game between the No. 2-seeded Buffalo Bills and No. 1-seeded Kansas City Chiefs would take place in Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the NFL announced Thursday.
The game would take place at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Jan. 29. All other potential AFC Championship Game matchups would take place at the home stadium of the higher seed, the league said.

Wait. What? Because of Hamlin?

Wait. What? Because of Hamlin?

Yes. Because they played an uneven number of games and both could have potentially been the #1 seed had they played the same number. Normally they would still just base it on winning % but given it happened when it happened (week 17) and the nature of what happened, the NFL went beyond that. Before the COVID season I think they agreed to just go based on winning % no matter what as there was certainly going to be some potential cancellations. I would suspect they will revisit and revise this during the off-season to try to account for such extreme situations.

I don't care if it's neutral site. But it needs to be outdoors.

They're throwing it indoors at a neutral site to avoid an AFC Championship game that looks like this because it'd be 10 in Lambeau and 21 with lake effect in Cleveland and Chicago and their fans won't care enough to sit outside for three hours.

Crazy Tom Brady stat that I saw on Pro Football Talk:

If Tom Brady leads the Buccaneers to the Super Bowl, he will have more playoff wins than any other franchise. That includes the Patriots.

I forgot they changed the OT rules for the playoffs.

Now both teams will get the ball even if the team with the ball first scores a touchdown.

As I just reported on FOX, multiple teams have contacted Kliff Kingsbury for their vacant OC job.

He bought a one way ticket to Thailand and has told teams (respectfully) that he’s not interested at the moment. @NFLonFOX

So he said Phuket and left.
