NFL 2022-23: How About A Lions vs. Jaguars Super Bowl?

The Bears have been to a SB twice and won once since the Jets won.

Meantime, the Lions have won a single playoff game since the Jets won.

So the Bears are not a good example vs the Jets.

I wasn't commenting on the overall lack of success. I commenting on the lack of a Franchise QB. The Bears have had NO ONE put together more than a season or two at the position going back 50 years. And all of their success is based around Defense. None of it was because the offense could just roll over the opposing D and put up 35+ points when needed.

Cry me a river. I can't take it seriously when a successful franchise wants people to have pity on them.

Improvement continues- after last nights removal of the breathing tube, Damar was in a video conference with his team today. That will certainly make practice and play a lot easier, mentally.

Ken O'Brien vs Jay Cutler vs Matt Stafford. Who ya got?

Sorry, irrelevant- what matters is winning. Both the Jets and Bears have won a SB. And the Bears have played in a second.

Right now, the Lions losing a SB would be a massive clearance of the Bobby Lane curse. And it would mean that the Lions managed to win 2 playoff games in a season.

But that wasn't the original statement, which was just about QBs. You can, apparently, have a winning team without a cromulent QB (paging Jim McMahon). That's what my remark was about. Honestly, it's all the funnier if you do win, because then the fact of you being short the QB is even more glaring.

The Lions definitely win the Incompetency Award for football, no fear. We're not stealing that valor to say they don't win the Coat Rack QB Award.

I realize that, but for a team to whine about not having a great QB for a long time after winning and placing in a SB isn't worthy of much from a Lions fan. McMahon was a really good QB for more than one season. And it's not as if teams have gone 0fer in the SB will just operable QBs.

So....

If you want to provide sympathy- that's fine.

Lest we forget, Lions fans had one of their best post seasons ever last year when Matt Stafford won the SB. Not the best- that was when they actually won a game. But after so many years of nothing, to have one of our most popular players of all time to win- that's how bad it is here.

This is amazing news.

Everyone should know CPR. AEDs should be as required as fire extinguishers. On every floor of large commercial buildings. They should be cheap enough to put in every house.

Fewer people are going to die that way. Have you thought that through?

So WRT the title of this thread, the Jaguars have done their part to get into the playoffs. Can the Lions do their part to have a Jags-Lions SB?

Yes! That's why we hire actuaries to decide who lives and dies

Well okay then.

remember this truism from lbj.... "men worry about heart attack, women worry about cancer of the t!t"

(if we take that worry away, what will men be ascared of?)
