NFL 2019-20: The Patriots Are A Terrible 11-3 Team!

Hopkins tweeted, then deleted, a post saying he might retire because he doesn't want to put his teammates in a bad position because of his choices.

Let that roll around a little bit.

I didn't realize he deleted it. He was getting mostly destroyed for it though some fellow athletes backed him and of course the "patriots" who said they would never watch again because these same players took a knee were ready and willing to defend him and his fellow idiots.

This idiotic notion that they are "forcing" vaccination is why they are all getting hate over this. The NFL isn't saying you can't choose to be unvaccinated. You can totally choose that and still remain eligible to play. What changed are the consequences if you make that choice. The amount of people who just don't understand the concept of "consequences" is friggin mindboggling.

Honestly the best responses are the ones pointing out they take supplements that aren't FDA tested, shoot themselves up with medications and drugs at unhealthy levels, incur injuries that require multiple surgeries and cause long term damage and bash their head in on the regular...but a shot that could not only protect them but others that has been around for months and is proven effective is a bridge too far.

Totally agree.

The general "it's my choice respect my choice!!!1!!!1" crap is infuriating. Fine. Make your choice, but my choice is to exclude you. Why won't you respect my choice?

It's my choice to drive 100 mph on the roads. I trust you will respect my freedom and not give me a ticket for it. If I hurt someone else, well so be it. I didn't get hurt, so what is it to me?

Asian societies are so much better at sociatal responsibility. We look like selfish assholes to a lot of the world.

Asian societies are so much better at sociatal responsibility.

Are they, though? Asian societies also don't challenge bigotry or misogyny because that would rock the boat. That isn't responsible.

Western insistence on individualism does makes us more selfish and lonely, but it also makes us more likely to tell authority and traditional values to go fuck themselves, and there at times that needs to happen to make progress.

Good. And as a Vikings Fan if any player has a fucking problem with it cut them. Choices have consequences.

I always love all the constitutional scholars that clearly know nothing about constitutional law that pop up. Twitter U really sucks.

To be fair, the Federalist Society has PhDs and JDs who know just as little about the Constitution, and one of them is on SCOTUS now.

Last week my employer set a deadline for telling them whether or not employees have been vaccinated. They sent a link, and we have to self-report, no proof needs to be provided.

Mookie’s employer did as well. As mookie works in a clients office, he passed on the link and pushed the email to trash.

Mine already did. Responding was mandatory and they tied it to performance reviews this fall. Just like mandatory training and time carding.

I also had to do it for a client, presumably under threat of being kicked off the project.

Dak Prescott proved he is a bigger moron than I thought by claiming it was HIPAA when he was asked if he had the vaccine.
