Infowars reported it too so it must be true :D

I also like these contradictory quotes

The Oakland Raiders is the only NFL lineup made up entirely of African-American players.

Star Quarterback Derek Carr – who happens to be white – was not sacked a single time during the last season. But things were different for this game.

Sheeple like Flaggy don't understand the true danger of the NFL: https://www.rawstory.com/2017/09/ri...ral&utm_campaign=im&utm_tracker=1737131x84899

“I told you the NFL was out of the bowels of hell and nothing more than a propaganda machine, with mindless sheep who are brainwashed every night of the week with the alpha, gamma, theta waves, the delta waves lulling people into trances, slipping people into mass hypnosis,” Zilinsky said. “That’s declassified, folks. High-level mind control projects have been exposed, it’s on record. TV, that noise box, is the most disgusting invention ever made.”

The U.S. Department of Defense paid the NFL nearly $5.4 million in taxpayer money between 2011 and 2014 to honor troops and veterans at games, most of which was supplied by the National Guard.

“I think the NFL is pure evil,” Zilinsky said. “It’s anti-Christian, anti-family, anti-patriot, anti-constitutional, anti-gun, anti-American, for sure.”

“These new NFL policies are straight out of the Pol Pot regime,” Zilinsky continued. “In some stadiums, women can’t even enter into the same entrance as men and children — talk about your FEMA camp training. That’s right, the NFL is an extension of the TSA, the DHS, the globalist agenda and FEMA.”

“Every NFL stadium is a FEMA camp in hiding,” she added. “The American public is being conditioned to the fact that the state owns your body and your freedoms … The NFL stadiums are going to be staging areas for martial law and it’s all a part of the conditioning process.”

Re: NFL 2017: With Dollar Signs in Goodell's Eyes

In case anyone was curious now that a premise I think we can all agree upon is starting up (maybe a couple weeks delayed for those with the secret handshake), here's what the rule book states, under Rule 82.4:

As starters are introduced, they shall proceed to their respective blue lines and shall face center ice, followed by the remaining team members (the goalkeeper may stay in the crease area). Players shall face center ice as they are introduced. When the public address announcer indicates the playing of the national anthem, players shall face the flag. (Players shall remain stationary on the blue line for the completion of the national anthem. Players may huddle at their respective goal only before the start of the game.)

So it's entirely possible and within the rules that someone could "take a knee". However, I get the feeling that someone in response may find boarding/charging/cross-checking/etc. to be well worth it, if you know what I mean.

So then push the pile back don't take a ten foot running start and blindside a defenseless player. JFC Vikings fans are petty.

I'm not a Vikings fan. When one player is going in at a level that would hit the shoulders but the other is dropping so it turns into a helmet to helmet hit you can't hold the defender responsible. It happens all the time, there was nothing special about that hit. Unless you want them to play flag football that hit is going happen fairly regularly.

Re: NFL 2017: With Dollar Signs in Goodell's Eyes

It really doesn't need to though, that hit had no other intention than to injure. And this league has a serious issue with CTE maybe it'd be a good idea to take that seriously at some point.

I get that he probably didn't intend to hit him in the head but it's part of a larger issue the NHL and NFL have with allowing/not doing **** about predatory hits that serve no purpose other than to injure.

Not really a Vikes fan, but agree with your take. That hit was dirty.

The defender will be held responsible for leading with his helmet, which is also a big no-no in the game today. Those "launch" hits are total garbage, and go well beyond simply 'making the tackle'.

This. And frankly, he WAS leading with his helmet. That's a no-no in any language.

I don't think either of the two here defending the hit are Vikings fans and way to go typical Packers fan with your retort.

Re: NFL 2017: With Dollar Signs in Goodell's Eyes

Are you seriously trying to justify that hit?
I am. Blame the official's for not blowing the whistle when forward progress was stopped. I thought the hit was legal albeit unfortunate. Trevethan was going in low and did not deviate high or low, left or right. It wasn't a Vontaze Burfict mugging. It was just fate when Adams was being brought down and his head was at the same level that Trevethan was at. There was no targeting involved.

I imagine Trevethan will get a one game rip for "teh horror" of the hit but I'm of the opinion that it wasn't intentional.
