NFL 2016-17 II: Playoffs, Super Bowl, and Offseason

Re: NFL 2016-17 II: Playoffs, Super Bowl, and Offseason

Just like all the other front-running teams you jumped onto.

Yeah, the Bills were awesome in 1986 and 1987. :p

Oh, don't forget the Twins/Cubs fandom I have. Those teams are real winners. Born a Twins fan, latched onto the Cubs growing up.

Please. I don't buy for a second you jumped on the Bills and Devils wagons before they were winning and I'm pretty sure I'm missing at least one other non-MN team you clung to that had championship runs. That you latched onto the Cubs during their "unsung hero heydays" isn't doing your argument any favors. Maybe they weren't winners but the hottest trend instead of sticking with your hometown through thick and thin is not a good look. :)

The Bucs waived Roberto Aguayo today. Chalk that one in the top 10 (5?) draft busts.

I will say it's the right call, can't have a kicker you can't rely on in the NFL. 2nd round pick or not.

When I started following the Cubs was when no interleague play was happening, and my aunt lived in Chi-town. You were "allowed" to have one team from each league. So I had the Twins and the Cubs. The Devils I chose when the North Stars left, and they had a pretty awesome goalie called Marty. I love me my goalies.

Judge all you want, and be smug all you want, that's the truth. I didn't jump on their bandwagons because they were winning. I became a fan because I liked the teams, period. Success or not.

Marshawn Lynch sat on a cooler during the national anthem. Dude gives zero ****s

Re: NFL 2016-17 II: Playoffs, Super Bowl, and Offseason

That's hilarious. This is that same stupid **** we went through with Obama and the lapel pin.

The toglodytes need to pound their chest and tell everyone how much they love their country.

Wanted to see what football at the soccer stadium looked like for the Chargers. It only seats 27k and the look I saw (even this preseason broadcast is trying to hide how small the stadium is) showed it at about a third full. So an NFL team is only drawing 8-10k.

You sure you weren't at a Browns game? :D

Of course. Who's going? No SD fans. No LA fans; they either threw in with the Rams or don't give a ****. I honestly don't know who the Chargers imagine their fans are going to be.

And there were soccer lines visible! Clearly the NFL is bush league... ( ;) )

Rams fans that couldn't get season tickets.

Same thing with Jets fans. They're just Giants fans that couldn't get season tix.

Note on this, the Galaxy (the MLS team who owns the StubHub Center) had a higher attendance the night before.

Yeah, but it's stilll pre-season. IINM the Jets' exhibition games in the '70s got attendances of around 1500. That's not a typo.

I appreciate you making it. I head on vacation on Monday and would like to be in the league again this year. No rush but would be great if you could create it prior to me leaving or hold me a spot.

I will. Now for a draft: last year, I had it on Labor Day and many of you couldn't make it. I work second shift, so I'm trying to come up with a time that will work for everyone.
