NFL 2016-17 II: Playoffs, Super Bowl, and Offseason

I strongly suspect this was only after every possible way of fleecing the taxpayer had been exhausted.

They were momentarily the Hartford patsies!! :)

But gotta give Krafty bob his due... he turned down free CT $$$ and spent his own. MA gave some roadwork on rte 1, that's it

This is why you should have stayed in Mass, Kep. To my knowledge they are the only state legislature who ever told an owner to go screw when the guy had a signed, sealed and delivered taxpayer funded windfall lined up from another state. Not only was CT offering a new stadium on the taxpayers' dime, they were going to guarantee Kraft a sell-out, as in they'd buy up all unsold tickets, for the next 30 YEARS!!! After taking the offer back to Mass, they told him to pack his bags and basically called his bluff. Several years later the Red Sox showed up looking for money and heard basically the same story. We'll pay for some small infrastructure improvements and that's it.

Not exactly. Boston is still the major market and the major draw area. Start moving to Hartford and the Boston fans start leaving.

Yeah, but all the New England states are like 3 square miles. As long as you don't stick them in Burlington or The County the poor shlubs will still trek there. What else are they gonna do? Hang at the esplanade and gawk at the local slampigs?

I'd take Kep's criticisms about Mass more seriously if it wasn't his dream to move to freakin' Arizona for retirement! Unless Kep has a raging meth problem he'd like to satisfy, lets just say the man's taste in places to live is a bit lacking in something...

Yeah, why would anybody want to live here when they could live here?

Arizona is too hot, and full of dangerous, bugs, animals, and people.

It being "pretty" isn't enough incentive.

Westwood, MA is very nice.

You'd love Walpole. The high school is nicknamed the rebels and their "logo" is the stars and bars.

But I think your true home is Marblehead. :)

Nahant.

Ugh, AZ. Will your diet be reduced to Saltines and High Life?

I think he's going there for the Old People All You Can Eat Buffets and the meth, but that's just speculation on my part. ;)

Start in Boston and drive west. When you cross the Connecticut River the smell is 10x better. When you cross the Hudson River the people are 10x smarter. When you cross the Mississippi River the people are 10x more friendly. And when you cross the Continental Divide the country is 10,000x more beautiful.

As for food, you're talking to a liberal -- we are responsible for the food in NYC, RTP, Chicago, the PNW and New Orleans. Golden Coral is where centrists spend their old age, so have fun, and maybe if you're feeling wild pack your catheter in your RV and treat yourself to Ponderosa.
