NFL 2016-17 II: Playoffs, Super Bowl, and Offseason

Re: NFL 2016-17 II: Playoffs, Super Bowl, and Offseason

This is correct. The Baltimore Ravens only get to count 1996-present. The Cleveland Browns get to count 1946-1995; 1999-present. The Houston Oilers records count with the Tennessee Titans. For teams that combined during World War II, the records went with both franchises (see, e.g., 1944 Card-Pitt (Chicago Cardinals (now the Arizona Cardinals) and Pittsburgh Steelers coop)).

what about the Steagles?

I'll post the numbers when I'm done with the reveal, but the Ravens have the third highest points/game played ratio. 15 playoff wins in 21 seasons...not too shabby.

About 90 minutes left to get any last minute entries into the Top 10 contest. So far, I only have 3 entries (JF_Gophers, Kepler, and mookie1995).

#32 - Houston Texans
Points: 9.4392
Super Bowl Championships:
0
NFL Championships: 0
Playoff Appearances: 4 (3-4 (0.429))

It should be no surprise that the NFL's newest franchise ranks last in these All-Time rankings. While Houston has won 4 Division Championships in their 15 seasons (the same number as the New York Jets have in their franchise's history), they have yet to advance to an AFC Championship Game. The Texans have a dominating defense, but have yet to find a franchise QB to lead them to a Championship. We'll see if Deshaun Watson is the key for the Texans to lift the Lombardi Trophy. If he does, Houston will likely rise quickly in these rankings.

Re: NFL 2016-17 II: Playoffs, Super Bowl, and Offseason

The Vikings are buying Michael Floyd's "too much kombucha" defense.

No they're not. They just don't want to search for another receiver right now because Spielman doesn't like searching for O talent.

Re: NFL 2016-17 II: Playoffs, Super Bowl, and Offseason

#31 - Jacksonville Jaguars
Points: 9.9472
Super Bowl Championships:
0
NFL Championships: 0
Playoff Appearances: 6 (5-6 (0.455))

Jacksonville comes in at #31 on this list, as the Jaguars have only six playoff appearances and have never advanced past the conference championship game. Jacksonville has the fewest division championships (2), the fewest First Team All-Pros (7), and the fewest AP Award Winners (0) in the entire league. Despite being in the league for only 22 seasons, the Jags have as many playoff wins (5) as the Cincinnati Bengals, but 4 of those 5 wins came within the franchise's first five seasons. Jacksonville hopes that Tom Coughlin's return to the organization will bring the Jaguars back to the playoffs for the first time in a decade and on the right track to win more hardware.

#31 - Jacksonville Jaguars: 9.9472 Points
#32 - Houston Texans: 9.4392 Points

You did get the advantage of not having to worry about placing Jacksonville or Houston in your Top 10, but I'll allow it. :p:D:D

4. Green Bay
5. Minnesota
6. Kansas City
7. Pittsburgh

Dallas Cowboys
Miami Dolphins
New England Patriots
Pittsburgh Steelers
San Francisco 49ers
Denver Broncos
Oakland Raiders
Green Bay Packers
Minnesota Vikings
Cleveland Browns

The Ravens should be a TUC to bump CLE but not sure given their limited time as a franchise.
