NFL 2014-15: Iron Fist Getting Rusty?

Re: NFL 2014-15: Iron Fist Getting Rusty?

If the lateral goes forward, not a fumble. For laterals, it's the path of the ball. It's f'ed up, and I relate it to the "break the plane" rule for TDs.

Well, I know that rule. It was a play where the quarterback was getting wrapped up and yanked his arm to try to get the ball away, but when he released it stuck on his hand through the follow through and went slightly backwards to the side of him. You'd think it would be an obvious fumble, but they brought in the 'rules expert' who said it was going to be incomplete because the arm was in a forward motion so it didn't matter where the ball went. The announcers just let him talk and you could tell they had a "This dude may be a former ref but he has no clue what's he's talking about" tone and kind of brushed it to the side. Yet, that's exactly what happened following review, incomplete pass. Made zero sense.

Do. Not. Start.

I was working a hockey warming house that game. Closed up shop for the game. A bench was thrown clear across said warming house after that play. I was not happy.

The last playoff memory for this franchise, so it sticks a little more with us. I know a few Titans fans and they do not prod me on that issue. Ever.

So the "Lame-is for Jameis" race is down to the Raiders, Titans, and Jets, with the Raiders in the driver's seat.

Hey, one more win by any of those teams except the Raiders, you can include the New York Football Giants on that list. Maybe the should start serving crab legs at the Meadowlands.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers say hello from the basement of the NFC.

And, actually, the Bucs would likely have first crack at him if things stay as they are currently, since Oakland has Carr set up for the future.

All the Raiders' remaining opponents have winning records and are in playoff races. No way they come within 20 of a win. It's still amazing that they beat KC when you look at how they played last week.

Plus Oakland is the perfect town for Jameis.

The few Giants games I've watched this year, they have many more pressing needs than QB. Manning hasn't played well, but I'm more inclined to think that's because he hasn't received good protection.

If I'm a GM, Winston doesn't come within a mile of my practice facility. He's a train wreck waiting to happen.

He's probably going to be a superstar but that man has more baggage than North West.

Bills have cancelled their series of games in Toronto.

And they wanted an NFL team. :D

I'll credit the Londoners for coming no matter what crummy opponent came their way. The people of Toronto had the Seahawks, Falcons and other teams come in, but no one came to the games. Don't blame Buffalo for cancelling this. They gave a home game away and the Toronto fans crapped all over them. Good riddance to this awful experiment.

We gotta lose a lotta to get Marcus Mariota.
