Re: NFL 2010 - Cap & Trade

Hey, Phil, if you didn't suck so much, maybe you wouldn't be so frustrated at your team.

He looked like he was calling out about 2-3 specific players during that tantrum. Maybe point the finger at yourself, too.

Re: NFL 2010 - Cap & Trade

Considering TWO players touched the ball while they were in the endzone (or had not reestablished themselves outside of the endzone.

And the one guy touched it twice. Once while his foot was on the line, and he was in the endzone when he swatted it.

LOL at the Jets offense. Brian Schottenheimer might be the most overrated assistant in the NFL.

As my girlfriend said, "no snacks for them!"

Re: NFL 2010 - Cap & Trade

Hey, the Jets converted a third down.

And the game just got a little more interesting.

Re: NFL 2010 - Cap & Trade

Interesting how Golic keeps saying that Ryan's talk has no effect on the other teams...but he also has talked about Buddy getting guys fired up to play Dallas, Reggie White crushing guys because they cursed at him etc. I disagree that players can't get more fired up if somebody provokes them.

Saying that it can't happen implies that teams always play at their highest capability and are never flat, tired or distracted. There is a level of effort above 'normal'. Sure it would be great if every player played that way all the time but that isn't the case. Ray Lewis has had plenty of games where he was 'ok', some speculated he was in decline a year or two ago. Didn't appear to be in decline last night, ask Keller how he feels this AM. Assuming he woke up.

Since the beginning of time coaches have used bulletin board material, sick kids and complete fabrication to fire their teams up. Does it always work? No. But the "if you need that to get fired up, then you have issues" comment is hollow. Whatever works.

If people really believe that, during the next rec league game you play...tell a guy from the other team his wife is a fat whore and see if he just goes through the game with no change to his effort. (unless she is:D )
