Terry Bradshaw should never be allowed to sing ever again.

No taps. But they could easily install portable ones in the mean time. However, the big problem is winterization. They never did it and it would post MAJOR problems. Trust me on this one.

What do you mean they never did it?

Surely, they built the stadium to handle the elements. Or are you talking about being prepared for winter operations?

The "content provider" for the Packer game (WMSN Fox 47) is experiencing technical difficulties, so says my Uverse. I can't even get to their website. I'm not having trouble with any other stations, of course.

You too? I'm not on Uverse (just have an antenna for over the air) and I've got the same issue.

Edit: Now seeing on Twitter that a transmitter gave out at the station and they have no power.

They just said on fox 9 that general admission tickets to the vikings-giants game will be given away for free at ford field starting at 9 tomorrow morning.

As in, there is no winterization. Period. They removed it as a cost savings measure from the original plans. They have "wet" sprinkler systems in exposed areas. They have unprotected fixtures. Concession stand piping is not heat traced.

Yep. Thanks for the update. Just saw this on madison.com:
The Green Bay Packers game against the Detroit Lions was not being broadcast locally Sunday due to a power failure at FOX 47, the station said. At noon (game time), the station had the following notice on its website: "WMSN-TV is off the air at this time due to a power failure at the transmitter site. Alliant Energy and station engineers are on site working on the problem."

TCF would not be a realistic option for a game today or tomorrow, but it might be for the remaining home games. They have beer taps installed, right?

No beer allowed at all for any event thanks to the DFL.

Wow. That's just stupid.

Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

Well, that's partially true. I know for a fact there are events with beer in that stadium.

Private events are allowed. I remember hearing the U2 concert would have to be dry. Thanks to Rep. Tom Rukavina, DFL-Virginia for this...

And Rep. Tom Rukavina, DFL-Virginia, who wrote the preliminary legislation that became the omnibus liquor bill:
"There was an overwhelming feeling in the Legislature that what the Board of Regents did was elitist. If you can afford to sit in the premium seats, you can drink chardonnay, and if you sit in the cheap seats, you get water or pop … We didn’t think that was right."

Sad part is, it was a completely stupid argument. Are you really going to try and force the U of M allow something even the drunk sconnies don't do? Or worry about some kid drinking until they have alcohol poisoning? Fights in the stands? The student section couldn't handle beer during games.

Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

I thought it was an NCAA rule about no beer. At least at university owned facilities.

Only for NCAA championship events. Not NCAA sanctioned events. i.e., when the NCAA is the actual host, not just one of the participating universities.

Terry didn't understand Don wasn't saying people would make fun of him for his accent. People would make fun of him because he's famously the dumbest man ever to play football. And think about that.

Just saw the time lapse of the Metrodome collapse. Absolutely epic, and completely identifiable if you've ever overloaded a trash bag.
