How many games has Matt Millen been on the pre and post game show now? He still can never find the camera he is supposed to look at. It's uncanny.

He's used to avoiding cameras, given his previous gig. ;)

That game was fun for about 5 minutes - the crowd tossing snow following the first TD looked awesome. Even better to hear Zygi say that the team should go without a top with the next stadium.

I know a lot of you don't care about fantasy football, but this is for money so I'm going to ask for some advice here anyway. :)

QB: Vick at home with a chance to clinch a division title. Done.
RB: Mendenhall at home vs. the Panthers. Done.
WR1 and WR2: Calvin Johnson is great, but... in Miami with Drew Stanton throwing to him? Brandon Lloyd is great, but... Tebow? Sidney Rice or Percy Harvin have the best matchup, in Philly so the Vikes figure to throw a lot, but their QB situation is the most screwed up of all. TO is done for the year. Free agent options include Steve Breaston (vs. Dal), Mike Sims-Walker (vs. Was), Kenny Britt (@ KC), Roy Williams (@ Ari), Danny Amendola (vs. SF).
RB/WR Flex: Jamaal Charles at home vs. the Titans seems like a good bet, but their run defense is pretty solid. Certainly not going with Chris Ivory. Best FA options seem to be Ricky Williams vs. the Lions, Donald Brown in Oakland, or Tashard Choice in Arizona. Or one of my WRs.
TE: No idea whether to expect Gates to play, but I'm not optimistic. Aaron Hernandez is good but if the Patriots are ever going to try to run the ball it'll be against the Bills, plus Gronkowski is stealing a lot of his targets. Best FA options are Tony Moeaki vs. the Titans and Heath Miller vs. the Panthers.
K: Josh Scobee vs. the Redskins is good enough.
Def: Carrying Tampa (vs. the Seahawks, pretty good matchup) and Atlanta (vs. the Saints, pretty bad matchup even in Atlanta). Could pickup Jacksonville (vs. the Redskins is a good matchup, but they've been awful at generating turnovers this year) or Miami (vs. the Lions is also a good matchup and they're a great yardage defense, but also bad at generating turnovers). Tampa seems like my best bet.

Oh, and this league limits transactions to two per week. TO and Atlanta D (or Ivory) are easy choices for drops that won't come back to bite me, but I need to be judicious with my adds because of that.

Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

NFL hypocrisy is reaching epic proportions. Apparently if you are a strength and conditioning coach who makes his salary in the thousands and aren't protected by the players union, sticking a knee out to trip a player is worth a $25 K fine and a suspension till the end of the year.

If, on the other hand, you are a player who's salary is in the hundred's of thousands if not millions of dollars a year and you run from the bench to the sidelines to throw a vicious UFC style elbow on an opposing player the fine totals $15 K and there's no suspension. Does anybody really take this league seriously anymore?

Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

Seems like this is happening more often lately

Coach Mike Tomlin concedes the Steelers were mistakenly awarded a first down on a 9-yard run by Rashard Mendenhall during their 22-17 loss to the Jets on Sunday.

On first-and-10 from the Jets 35 early in the second quarter, Mendenhall gained 9 yards to the 26-yard line. After momentary confusion as the chain crew began moving the sticks, referee Peter Morelli's crew put the ball down at the 25 and signaled a first down.

The statistics crew hastily awarded Mendenhall a 10-yard carry -- an extra yard that wound up giving him a 100-yard game. The Steelers went on to score a touchdown on Ben Roethlisberger's 9-yard pass to Matt Spaeth.

Mendenhall wound up with 100 yards on 17 carries, rather than the 99 he gained.

1. Rex Ryan and his wife have an interesting fetish. Maybe.

2. Lawyers have been giant douches for at least 36 years.
