NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

The bigger question. Will there be a 1 PM game on TV in Minneapolis?

CBS has no game listed for that time slot and Fox was showing the Giants/Vikings.

Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

Supposedly they are re-discussing the TV agreement they came up with for Monday night at the Metrodome (only Minnesota and NYC markets). It looks like the only changes that are being discussed are the Giants wanting to add the northeast/New England market, nothing about a nationwide broadcast. Too bad, because this game interests me more than BAL-HOU.

NFLN says Detroit is the likely location in a brief update Rich Eisen just gave.

i am sure espn is offering to put this on espn2 :p

That's stupid. You're a NFL franchise. Buy the needed crap to play outdoors like men, and return it tomorrow if you're such friggin' cheapskates. Crazily enough, I think there might be "cold weather gear and footwear" in the city of Minneapolis.

Edit: If you've got time to fly to Detroit, you've got time for your supplies to be flown in from New York, toDownstairs to the right if you're coming!
Hold on, a fan of a team that plays in a dome is criticizing a team that just built a brand new OUTDOOR stadium because they didn't bring outdoor gear (do you really think the gear an NFL team needs is identical to what you can find at Dick's in any local mall? I don't, especially bearing in mind the unusual sizes you'd need) to go play IN A DOME? This wouldn't be an issue if the VIKINGS "play[ed] outdoors like men."

By the way, the Metrodome sucks. I say move the game to Jersey like they did when the Metrodome was unplayable after Katrina.

Agree completely. I just don't think the NFL is going to see it that way.

Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

So, since it appears that the Metrodome is not a viable for this game, what about the rest of the season? How many more home games do the Vikings have? Will the roof be fixed in time for those?

Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

Hey, here's a brilliant idea. Let's build an outdoor stadium in minnesota. This storm would have put five to six feet of snow inside of a bowl with the wind and drifting. If you're not going to do it right, don't do it at all. I'd rather have a Lucas Oil or Ford Field than a Lambeau.

God the NFL are ****ing retards. It makes no sense to play in Detroit when there is a perfectly good stadium just sitting empty in Minneapolis. The Giants certainly have time to get their cold weather gear there. Make the Vikings pay for the transportation or something.

Once every 20 years here while Buffalo deals with it every week. ;)

Meanwhile the dome is the perfect metaphor for the 2010 Vikings. :D

This makes so much more sense. Moving it to Detroit is stupid. At least this way you only screw over SOME ticket holders and not all of them.

NFLN says the game will be played in Detroit at 7:20 EST Monday night. Fox to carry locally in Minnesota and NY. DIRECTV will have game too.

Minnesota should say they can't make the game because they are stuck in Kansas City. What a freaking joke. Better call the WNBA for advice on how to televise a game no one is at.
