Re: NFL 2009 Thread #2

I didn't need Fitzgerald points last week. Now that I need them, Warner's channeling the BrettFavre that showed up in Phoenix last week.

I was winning a game at Yahoo with Warner and Fitzgerald to go.
I'm now losing.
Warner better throw a dam TD

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #2

Don't stop the clock for the 2 minute warning...just play running time :p

I take it you didn't get your 34 points, which is good for me meaning the team I'm playing didn't get his 34 points.

Oh joy...:p :D

No, I fell 30 points short (I guess he lost 2 somewhere in there). Maclin and Manningham, and Ward playing sparingly definitely didn't help me either...

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #2

I'm really mad, our stupid GM made the first round playoffs two weeks long.

Great.

And the championship game is two weeks long also. Instead of that moron, how about putting in more than 4 teams into the playoffs. Now Week 17 matters for someone which is epic fantasy football fail.

In my second fantasy league the commissioner made week 17 championship weekend. I called him out on the league message board. He locked me out of the league, changed my record to 0-14, and stripped all the players from my team. He then conveniently (and immediately) picked up the best players (including Adrian Peterson and Stephen Jackson) for his team.

Wow. That's not a league I'd want to be part of.

Sounds like a balanced person.

That's cheap.

In a league my dad and I used to play in a few years back through his work, the commish made a trade with a lady who was out of the running for the playoffs and it was an outrageous trade. I don't remember who the players were, but lets just say it was along the lines of Larry Fitzgerald for Troy Williamson, THAT bad. The commish magically approved the trade despite not being balanced.

My team in all likelyhood wasn't going to make the playoffs, while my dad's team was doing quite well, so I figured I'd even the odds a bit and help him out so we could split the winnings like we usually do. I was sending him Edgerrin James and Marvin Harrison for 2 no names. Funny thing happened, our trade was vetoed for being unbalanced, which I agree it was. Yet his trade stood and ours didn't. That was our last season in the league.

A funny note, the commish magically got the #1 pick the next year and picked up the star player from the group of keepers my dad and I lost by not playing.

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #2

You know, I don't think I've actually had a trade in any league I've ran the last three times.

*shrug*

/last place commissioner, yay!
