Larry Johnson is joining the Bengals. Benson's injury is a little bit more troublesome than they thought I guess.

Not that troublesome, but more giving the NFLs leader in attempts (well, he was going into the game, not sure anymore), someone who was slated for over 400 touches, some much needed rest. Cinci coming into the cupcake (read: trap game) part of the schedule with Oakland Detroit Cleveland in a row, and Ced shouldn't necessarily be needed then. So if we can win with LJ and Scott and get Cedric fresh going into December then I'm all for it. That will be a hell of a tandem going into the months when the running game is pretty much all you have.

Who Dey.

There's something about an old man giving the finger that gives it more emphasis and a new sense of cool, especially in the style Adams did it.

Appears to be right hand three pumps, left hand three pumps, right hand three pumps, and a finale of a two handed one and done. Add in the powder blue suit and we have a finger giving for the ages.

And he was fined $250K for it.

Dear insert name of any NFL team,

We would like to propose a trade. You get JaMarcus Russell and Darrius Heyward-Bey. We get your backup QB and a bag of potato chips.

If you think that is asking too much, we will simply accept the bag of potato chips, so long as it is sufficiently large and sour cream and onion in flavor. If that is still too much, we will happily throw in our head coach to sweeten the deal.

Sincerely,

Raiders Fans.

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #2

Coach Josh McDaniels, while still holding out hope for Orton on Sunday, has no qualms about putting his complex offense in the hands of Simms. McDaniels said nobody at Dove Valley works harder than the seventh-year pro from the University of Texas who is the son of former New York Giants quarterback and 1987 Super Bowl MVP Phil Simms.

"I have a great deal of respect for what he's overcome now to come back to do this. And I can also see every day why he's overcome it," McDaniels said Thursday. "He works as hard or harder than anybody we have on our team. His attitude is phenomenal. He's got a great work ethic. He lives in the weight room. He runs after practice when nobody's looking -- when he doesn't think anybody's looking.

"And those are the kinds of things that make you believe in a kid like this, that went through an injury the way he did. And now he's brought himself back, he's gained all the weight back, he's strong, he's healthy, he's got a great attitude and approach as a backup quarterback," he said.

-----if i was pressed to bet right now, i'd have said simms was older than his coach.:p
