Re: NFL 2009 Thread #2

"No NFL Games this season have gone into the half at 0-0"

Glad I am watching one of the first... what a sloppy, penalty ridden excuse of a game. At least Dallas isn't doing anything either.

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #2

5 min left in the 3rd quarter.

Philly deep in SD territory. 4th and 1. Down by 15. They kick a FG. Game. Over.

Classic:

(304): I know I'm really high but I swear I just saw him beating off to his fantasy football roster.

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #2

Anyone else think they just screwed up saying that was not reviewable? They have reviewed down by contact before, why would they not be able to review that just b/c it was after a fumble?

Only the referee knows for sure. I don't understand it one bit.

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #2

Does Mike McCarthy just enjoy wasting challenges? And he's also allowed to use challenges he doesn't have? These officials are idiots.

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #2

Yep. I concur.

If Belicheck could have challenged that, I think he'd have won it. It sure looked like he finally latched on to that ball right at the 30.

But that's OK.....Wayne is on my FF team, and that put me up 28 with my opponent having only D. Mason going vs. Cleveland.:D

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #2

So... Did TMQ write "Game over" when the punt team didn't come on the field? That goes against his religion, right?

Re: NFL 2009 Thread #2

You know what turned this game around? The fumble in the endzone.

I was up 3, with Garcon vs Clark left. Glad I got those insurance points, even though I didn't need 'em. :)

TMQ's formula doesn't include brutally incompetent officials. I love how he signaled that the ball was bobbled but the angle he had there was no way in hell for him to know when he had re-established possession.

Yeah but that play doesn't happen if he SENDS THE PUNT TEAM OUT to pin the Colts deep.

You know what? You're both right. Hug it out.

The way the Pat's defense was playing, I don't think punting is the Game Winning Strategy either.

That was SUCH A BAD CALL. Marvin didn't intend to injure Genoway. The refs totally blew that.....wait, wrong ref-b*tching thread......:p

I remember about the first game of the season McCarthy challenged a play, and one of the announcers brought of the fact that he doesn't challenge much, but when he does he's right. He had something like a 60 or 70 percent challenge success rate.

Ever since that comment it seems like he's used both his challenges every game, and I don't believe I've seen him get one right (although I haven't been able to watch a lot of the games, including the one today).
