Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

Now I'm contemplating if I want to make any fantasy transactions...

I'm considering dropping Torry Holt and picking up either Patrick Crayton or Devery Henderson. Also, Fred Jackson was put on waivers, thinking about picking him up and dropping Laurence Maroney, since it seems that Jackson is a clear #1 and Maroney is one of several backs. I'll probably end up doing nothing.:p

nfl is now worse than the nba. quickly approaching wwf level

Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

The Raiders just got *ed. Capital F. Not even a reacharound.

Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

are they reviewing that?? looked like his arm slid as he was tackled out of bounds, i wonder if the ball hit the ground....

I think the ruling was he didn't maintain control as he hit the ground since the ball did move, but yeah, I agree that that should have counted.

I need two TD's from Gates and Zach Miller needs to pull something and be inactive in the 2nd half.

Down 22...

No lube, no reach-around. Just straight F'ed.

That wasn't a conjugal visit. That was federal *-you-in-the-arse prison rape right there. Two feet and a butt touches the ground before the ball slips.

And I'm up by nine. If any SD scoring is to occur, please make it defensive or running (running not done by Rivers).

No...Rivers can get two to Gates. It's only going to cost you 6 points, but it gets me 24. :D

Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

So, now, you not only have to have two feet down, but you have to go to the ground and have control of the ball at THAT point for it to count??????

WWE. All the way.

I have Rivers, but he can eat donkey dick the rest of the night for all I care, since I've clinched the win this week, despite all but 2 of my starters having a bad week.

You sound like my matchup in the USCHO league....
I had Brees......

He had AP.

Oh, and Reggie Wayne.

Re: NFL 2009 (or, in Super Bowl nomenclature, MMIX)

The difference between:

What we all thought Oakland was, and is doing right now

--and--

What we all thought SD was, and is doing right now

is about the same difference in expectations/results. If not in favor of Oakland.

I am stunned.

Wow.

Although, that was the worst thing that coulda happened to the Rube Regime.
