Anyone know of a good place to get the name plate pit back on the jersey I won? It needs to be the exact same lettering as was on there before, or I won't go through with it. No way am I butchering it with a not authentic name plate. Next question...have we had these black jersies long enough that conner would have worn the same style? It's a #25 jersey and I'm not sure if I want to put nielson on the back, especially if conner wore this same vintage jersey.
As the regular season approaches, JR "the boa" has the chokehold going again and gone is the free wheeling, creative hockey that was played in Europe. Waaay to risky, don't have the talent to play that way. Dump and chase, 12th place, off the glass, kick our a**, here we go again.

That is what I thought and she told me before, too. But, we just did a jersey order with the team and they come in completed, except for two of our jerseys (one missing numbers and one missing a nameplate). They also forgot to ship Holmberg's nameplate and forgot to sew on Cousen's captain C. So OT 2-dayed those three items and then sent all four to Superior Monogramming to get it done.Post 100 already, I better slow down...
Actually SM does all of the nameplates and any number changes. OT only numbers the jerseys before their shipment to Tech. (Or at least that is what Judy told me.)
You would be suprised how many they used to do in a year. I'm not sure if they still do it now, but when Sertich was coach, Tech used to put a nameplate on the back of a jersey for every recruit that visited so one with their name would be hanging in a locker when they toured the facilities.

That makes me wonder, why would Tech have a dead mascot? We're not the Sioux.
Yes, but they will be in town for the trip.
That much is obvious.
Real text from last night:

Is this a person that I know?

I heard that this person was getting slapped in the face all night.
As in you heard the noise of your hand hitting their face all night?I heard that this person was getting slapped in the face all night.
So imho, maybe but I'd say it's too early to be so negative.
Couldn't agree more on your 3 points. On point one, the second half numbers are pretty good for special teams. When you're JSR, it's never a bad time to be a Negative Nancy.
However, three things have to happen for this team to do alright and for Russell to earn an extension:
1. Hockey is often a game of special teams, especially in this league. The PK has to be better - 85% success or higher should be the goal (It was 83-84% over the final 15 or so games last year). The powerplay was better last year (16%-ish), and it needs to take another step forward. Whether we're playing the classic 1-2-2 when 5x5 or not, we have to score in 5x4 and 5x3 situations.
2. Goaltending has to be a lot better. I know the team hung Robinson and Genoe out to dry a lot last year, but they made their fair share of errors too. It'd be nice to have a legit 1a/1b situation going again, but if that doesn't work out, one of them has to step up and be the answer.
3. Above all, they have to stay healthy. If we have the depth to be able to sit guys who aren't playing up to scratch, then we can make stuff happen. If not, and we find ourselves rolling three, hastily assembled lines for most of the season, then we're boned.
