New York Yankees: Order Has Been Restored To The Universe

Re: New York Yankees: Order Has Been Restored To The Universe

Headed to tomorrow night's epic tilt between CC And Price part 2. ALCS game 1 matchup preview possibly? Hoping it's as great of a game as last weeks was.

Why did it take so long for Kevin Long to get Granderson straightened out? Just in time.:)

Don't look now but El Capitan is 11 or his last 30 after making some adjustments with Kevin Long. RAB said that he is staying back in his stance longer by adding a little bit of a hitch allowing him to drive balls to the opposite field more effectively. It seems that his bat speed slowed down slightly so he jumped out of his stance earlier thus causing all of the groundballs he's hit all season. Lately, he's been driving the ball to the opposite and outfield more through line drives and fly balls. Yesterdays double was evidence of that.

Re: New York Yankees: Order Has Been Restored To The Universe

Made my day.

Any thoughts on Sabathia's chances at winning the Cy Young over someone with better numbers who plays on a godawful team (sorry TBA2).

CC sure didn't help his chances last night with that uncharacteristic performance. I still think he deserves the Cy. He pitches in big games while under the microscope each time out. Still, he had a chance to possibly cement it last night and really struggled. On the other end of the spectrum, Javy assured himself of a spot in front of the TV in the postseason.

Re: New York Yankees: Order Has Been Restored To The Universe

the voters are too old school to pick hernandez. i can see them going with price for the lower era and similar win totals. but i still think if no one else reaches 20, i'd say sabathia wins it (though i dont think he deserves it)

Hideki Okajima is the Yankees best player tonight!

Juan Miranda?! with a walk-off walk in the 10th for the win. The Yanks have claimed atleast a share of the wildcard. Huge win, great outing by Hughes... but MARIANO NEEDS TO KEEP RUNNERS CLOSER TO THE BASE. 4SB in the top 9 to blow the save.

Yeah... Cause he was pro-Yankees all night.

Dig up the pitch f/x for Bill Hall's at-bat against Rivera in the 9th and have a good laugh.
