New to College Hockey - Who to follow?

Hey everyone. Very new to hockey and even more so when it comes to College Hockey. Being from Australia I don't get to see much hockey on TV but the little I have watched has really made an impression. I've been to the US a few times, mainly Northeast(ME, NH, VT) and don't know what college teams to keep an eye on. I like supporting up and coming teams that are developing, rather then year in and year out stud programs. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Penn State. Get in on the ground floor.

Welcome to the Forum.

Probably go with Wisconsin.

Yeah, they're an up and coming program! They've won what, 5 national titles? :p

Maybe AIC? They're certainly a team that is developing.

I think the perfect fit for you would be Bentley.

I assume he wants to see his team win once in a while. ;)

I would say Colgate. They are historically middle-of-the-road with some good years and bad years. This is projected to be their best year since 1990 (national runner up).

Another pick would be Providence. They should be very good this year, have a stud goaltender and a coach that knows how to win. For the past decade, I have Colgate ranked #28 and Providence #29.

This too. They have a new program, new arena and are part of the B1G Conference which gives them a huge leg up in recruiting and scheduling. This is the ground floor for them and they have a great future.

Up in coming as in their fans are still one step behind on the evolutionary scale, their style of hockey was inspired by Jacques LeMaire and has since been left behind and after this next season they'll have nowhere to go but up.

20% more!

Nah, that 1 extra between 5 and 6 goes through a multiplier that anyone outside of the tri-state area can't fathom (or know the formula to) resulting in a percentage that is exponentially more than 20%.

I mean, the Minny Self-Loathing component alone is worth a couple hundred percentiles.

Oddly, the difference between 6 and 7 is almost insignificant.

Thankfully, only "almost."

But man, if I supported a team with only 5 I'd think about switching to Lacrosse.
