New Poll Predictions for 12/6

Re: New Poll Predictions for 12/6

I know I have been blabbing about this a lot but seriously what is the rationale for Gustavus at 6 and Hamline being ranked?

I'm curious at how good GAC is or isn't considering they lost an absolute monster in Martinson as well as Lopes...

Re: New Poll Predictions for 12/6

When was the last time Middlebury failed to get a single vote?

Considering the fact that, prior to this season, Middlebury had only spent 1 week outside of the rankings since said rankings began in 1998, and obviously re-entered the poll the following week, I'm going to venture a guess and say that this is a first.

I believe the stress of losing the interlock is destroying Beaney's ability to perform ;)

Re: New Poll Predictions for 12/6

I didn't mean to suggest they aren't, it's just not often you see a ranked team get shut out at home and improve their standing in the poll, regardless of who they're playing.

It helps when Manhattenville loses to an unranked Elmira team and Neumann is defeated by an unranked Elmira team from last week. Thus, they drop a bit but even with a 4-0 loss to Oswego...they lost to the unanimous number one team this week.

And speaking of unanimous...the pressure increases now with the full 20 votes...can they manage Utica and Hobart next weekend with that rank "mark" on their backs?

Re: New Poll Predictions for 12/6

...I think Utica deserves to be ranked 13th or 14th.

Something has to be wrong with the pollsters, maybe the flu, we thought Utica deserved to be ranked 13th or 14th - and they WERE!!!!!!!

Because there's hockey outside of the NCHA?

Also, I find myself agreeing with both Prez and Pioneers#1 at various points in this thread. That scares me greatly.

Re: New Poll Predictions for 12/6

I'm a little shocked Geneseo gained in the poll after being shut out 4-0 last week but I guess it was a tumultuous week. The committee clearly thinks Oswego is the real deal.

Though they were shut out, Geneseo played Oswego pretty tough, as Jaslow's game recap suggests.

I'd say it was more of how poor the teams around Geneseo did rather than their result in losing to the #1 ranked team in the nation.

The Ira can be a very tough place to play.
