Actually, since logically they belong as the unanimous number 1, the controversy would be if they ARE unanimously number 1, then what went wrong with the pollsters?

Thank you Josh Carey, you said exactly what i was going to say.Norm, thats complete Bull-crap and nothing but excuses, Utica has worked so hard to beat the #10,#15 & #8 teams(not to say that you said that, but it was the signal you sent by saying that), and not to mention how close we got to Oswego St. and Neumann University.Utica undoubtfully should be ranked, if not, what does it take to be ranked then? Plattsburgh is doing good, but Utica right now is definetly doing better, for the time being, thats a fact.

This just angers me to see how far my team is coming along this season and then their discredited like this and pushed aside for some team who once was a power house like Oswego in the past seasons and never left the top 5 spots in the polls and now is thought that they should be ahead of a team thats flat out hotter than them right now.How does how good Emery has done in the past and how good our head coach has done in the past, have a thing to do with this season and how good the teams are doing and a determining factor in who gets ranked?

I think Utica deserves to be ranked 13th or 14th.

Not saying I don't agree with you (as I have Utica above)....but A) Nice wins but you wont see #15 in the polls probably again this year *just a hunch*, #10 is probably now 12-15, and #8 probably shouldnt be in the polls either, same for Neumann. We also go close to Oswego to...it was tied with a minute and a half left in the game. Utica is on a 3 game win streak, Plattsburgh is on a 4 with a win over the then #1 team in the Nation. I am not sure Plattsburgh is a team anyone wants to play right now.....

A varsity high school team could have beat Plattsburgh in the first few games of the season......I think I was pretty clear on that...thanks for chimming in your two cents.. I think you have enough to worry about in Elmira to be worrying about someone else...

Oswego is #1....so Platty beat them?

Even though i understand your point, still it feels like my team is being thrown under the bus, as much as we think they shouldnt have been ranked, they were and that in my eyes gives Utica the right to be ranked as high or higher than Platty, seeing as two teams cant be ranked the same.

Plattsburgh beat Norwich, they were #1 at the time...

I think you are getting a little irate over this. If Norm had a vote in the poll, I think you would be justified in your frustration. Its just a poll prediction. We are only logical people :-D

Read post #9...I will go one farther...Utica not recieving a single vote in last weeks poll is a total slap in the face on that program. Of course, how long has it been since we've seen Plattsburgh, Middlebury, UWS, UWRF, UWSP, Elmira ALL in the "recieving votes"..I actually wanted to put them higher then where I did in my poll, but I am not sure who can move out...based on "some" teams being ranked so high from the start....

Well imagine if your favorite team that hasent been this hot or ranked really at all since the 04-05 season, was getting pushed aside like this...

Whatever though, we'll see what happens tomarrow.

Norwich moves up to #2 with a tie this past weekend against Amherst? I'm just not sure I agree with that. Does the blowout win over Hamilton (7-1) make up for a loss at Platty followed by a tie at Amherst?

I'm not against Utica being ranked. I have them ranked 13th in my prediction poll. I actually don't have any idea how they didnt receive points in the last poll. I get being angry that your team isn't ranked when clearly they should be, but I feel your anger should be geared toward illogical pollsters, not logical posters.

I think for most people, including myself, its more about St. Norbert losing to St. Scholastica than it is Norwich tying Amherst.

I know it has nothing to do with ranking teams in the poll, but if St. Norbert played Norwich at a neautral site...I'm taking the Green Knights.
