it was really close, castleton was 2 points behind Norwich in the polls, though I agree that Norwich is ranked way to high

Hey, those flags served well for my third job - landing planes on the weekends! I'm glad to being back with lights as well. I was waiting for the controversy of whether a puck was in before the green light came on or not....it never happened thank goodness!

It's an example of how respect in the polls is directly proportional to the amount of overweight townies spouting off on your behalf on this board. There remains a team that leads their league and has one loss that doesnt get a single vote so what do you expect? Plymouth State and others dont get free passes the way some teams do which my only point.

Elmira is suffering from the same syndrome that Plattsburgh was dealing with when they finally got their stuff together. Plattsburgh probably should have been ranked at least a week or two earlier than they were.

Meanwhile Norwich continues to get the benefit of the doubt for better or for worse.

I can't fathom how the Cadets stayed at #3. I had them pegged around #7 or 8 I think and that was being generous I thought.

Were you ever around in the times of Lebanon Valley?? Johnson and Whales?? Amazing you never spoke up then against the rest of the townies. You don't get respect, you earn respect. Playing a bunch of "nobodies" doesn't earn you respect from the voters. Quit playing high school teams and play some real teams, then maybe you would have a beef. Until then go back to watching your Junior B midget programs and stop trying to fix something that isn't broken. Like I said earlier, give the pollsters something to notice about Plymouth State and maybe they would. If Plymouth State was in any other league they would be in the bottom third of every league except maybe the ECAC NE and the MCHA....the poll represents the top hockey teams, not the best records.....

I love how you can twist numbers to prove any point. According to the PWC page here (which only shows Plymouth as playing 10 games), Plymouth edges Plattsburgh in Win%, OWP, and OOP. Now, a quick glance will show us that

However, then you look at the mathematical analysis provided by the KRACH (which is also not completely updated, but more current than the previous page) and you see that Plattsburgh has (according to their analysis) the much greater SOS, and is therefore ranked much higher.

Take this post however you would like to.

Because computers reward you for playing and beating crap teams who play crap teams who play crap teams. Think of it as the best of the worst ranking. Plymouth State is not the Boise State or TCU of the BCS. Yes they are having a good season by their standards, but with the teams they play any mid pack team should put up the numbers they have. If thats how teams were ranked and placed, the Oswegos/Plattsburghs/Norwichs of the world would all schedule bottom tier ECACNE/MASCAC/MCHA teams and go undefeated.....and then wonder why they get blown out 10-0 come NCAA time by a 5 or 6 loss team....

Nobodies, high school teams, junior B midget (which doesnt even make sense) teams. You do realize your repeatedly demonstrated ignorance is a perfect display of exactly what I'm talking about, right? Don't hurt yourself with all your pent up bitterness. You remain free to address the reality of my point at any time though. Another chart might be nice but if you waste more time on that have it serve a purpose this time thanks.

At least Adrian tried ;) and you guys got it after a while. We deal with this stuff it seems like every 4 or 5 years...Lebanon Valley, Johnson and Wales, Adrian, and now Plymouth State....Adrian had the bigger and biggest beef, they were at least some what competitive. They wern't tieing ECACNE mid pack teams. This is a team that gave UNE one of their 5 wins in their history. Plymouth did happen to sweep SUNYAC power Cortland twice two years ago..Plymouth will probably finish the regular season 17-3-5 and won't make the NCAA's and I dont think anyone will lose sleep over it.
