But they tied one year ago tonight bc 3 unh 3 and bc gave unh the regular season title

Comic, are you guys doing a team in the Travis Roy bowling event again? I thought I saw something on it.

jerry is everyone's nicest grandpa... but he is competitive as anyone else in the game. he is going to win tonight to add their three possible trophy to date (leydard christmas tourney, beanpot, hea regular season). then add the hea tournament and ncaa tournament so he can show his buddy he did it too. (since he hasn't done it yet)

Anyway, technically bc only needed a tie last night to stay in it, but in reality they needed a win. I think that was a big confidence boost.

While bc hasn't played well at unh historically, they have been better in recent years.

I think you are seeing this accurately. I thought last nights game was very similar to the first BC/UNH game in November... just the score was different.

That being said, I expect to see a battle at the Whit tonight.
Prediction: Tie (we gotta help keep you guys at a 2 or 3 seed). ;)

Which will mean either keeping BC scoreless for 65 minutes (huge), or actually scoring on them (not huge, but would be nice to see).

And really, whatever happens UNH will not be hosting Maine, so that's good.

do you really think that?:confused::confused: that game was close in every aspect, last night's game wasn't close in any aspect .that being said,i expect UNH to come back and play well in their senior night

If you look at last few years, BC has done quite well at Durham. Two ties last year, swept a playoff series the year before, etc.

Yea, I thought BC outplayed them pretty handily in the 1st go-round... just couldn't put more than one by Digi. I did say similar ;) ... but not much compares to what went down last night. The ice was certainly tilted in one direction.

I'd love to know what unh can do to erase this debacle, seriously don't think unh has the answers, coachwise or player personnel, lack inspiration and heart. Example BC had several different plays for breaking into unh zone man up, unh on the other hand couldn't even enter the zone and had no answer. This played out in all aspects of the game. Congratulations BC regular season champs, unh on the other not sure your going to make it past the quarters. Enjoy your three seed and match up with nu

Watching UNH play last night, I thought it was the NCAA tournament.....total no-show. 12 shots on goal? Really pathetic. Here's hoping they show up tonight.

Furthermore unh has one line, how hard is it to neutralize them in a one game series going forward during playoff hockey. Some teams BC especially have an extra gear to kick in, unh never ever does. Unh well over achieved this year and kudos to them but weaknesses get exsposed in playoff hockey
One can only blame coaches for not having these players revved up, after all there not professionals

That doesn't matter.
The post season doesn't start until NEXT week. The Eagles were just giving you a little taste. We all already KNOW how tonight plays out. ;) :p

That's great, and I wouldn't be shocked to see anything happen tonight, but one game won't really change the fact that BC is in fact superior in talent and coaching. UNH could win tonight... it's still the regular season after all!

BC doesn't care and coasts thru the game. BC is the better team, UNH is ok but hardly anything to get excited about

I do not think that last night's game was anything like the game in November; BC has improved and UNH has gone to the Southern Hemisphere, where I spent a good part of January and February. I cannot believe that I am writing this, but I think that UNH would be better off dropping to a 4 seed, sending BC to St. Louis, and facing Michigan in the first game at Manchvegas. Sigh....

I just hope they do it in a 9-8 game so it makes my 2 hour drive worthwhile. :D
