Re: NESCAC '12 to '13
It has been suggested if I want to keep predicting that I think about what to say and then write the opposite and it may improve the results. Anyway, here is some mid-week non-conference action to incorrectly discuss.
Middlebury@St. Anselm-who knows? Midd has had trouble getting up for mid-week action (not to mention first game of a NESCAC series-Friday ties with Trinity and Amherst and losses to Bowdoin and Conn) but it is getting down to the end of the season and good teams need to beat good teams, and the Panthers are a very good team and played with way more intensity against Conn Sunday; St. As sports a nice record with the OT win against Norwich (but a loss and tie with Manhattanville and loss to Bowdoin-although they did make a major comeback on the P Bears) but they do pile up the numbers playing in the ECAC-East; a game that does not enter into NCAA consideration; the Panthers should take this one
Colby@New England College-White Mules are a perfect 3-0 away non-conference (and the money to pick NEC has not shown up) so I am going with Colby to stay perfect!
Utica@Hamilton-played a close 2-1 with an EN for the Continentals earlier at Utica; shots were 28-23 Hamilton; Hamilton (5-6-1 NESCAC) has some tough sledding coming up in conference (at Bowdoin and at Conn) so it is time for them to get it together; the games with Conn (6-7-1 NESCAC) could cause a big swing in the tournament seeds; Hamilton in a squeaker
Norwich@Amherst-watched the stream of the 2-1 Norwich win earlier in the season; Cadets winners on a shortie by DeBus (Charron with the other goal and Lloyd on the PP for the Lord Jeffs); shots were 19-17 Norwich; Amherst (tied for 2nd with Bowdoin at 8-3-1 in NESCAC) has some work remaining in conference (at Trinity and Bowdoin at home to close the season); Lord Jeffs need to play a perfect defensive game and keep the offense alive, but to me this is a Cadet road win
