The worst game of the dozen I have witnessed in person this season...but credit SNC for constant pressure and hustle....
I counted 3 goals off turnovers, although I am a bit fuzzy on the ppg.
4 goals on 20 shots - not a good time for the keeper to have a pedestrian game...
Good luck SNC - you deserved the win and to advance today...

4 goals on 20 shots way look weak on the surface but lets remember that three of the four goals were iso situations for KGT because of bad defensive breakdowns.
Sure you like to see your goalie make a save or two in those situations but in no way do I think KGT should be pinned for the loss.
I know you said pedestrian game. I don't think you're blaming the loss on KGT, just want to make sure people don't get the idea like TacoRob would that it's okay to throw the goalie under the bus from this game because it certainly wasn't his fault.
Bad game for the Oswego defense that has been pretty consistent all season for the Lakers.

It was really hard not being there, but it was exciting to watch anyway. I felt if SNC could at least stay even on special teams they had a decent chance. Great job by the guys keeping their composure and answering everytime Oswego showed how potent they can be. They took advantage of the opportunities they had. They were smart in not letting Oswego make it an end to end track meet while they waited for some mistakes to cash in on.
I wanted to echo what Prez said, I wouldn't put it on the goalie even though the final numbers don't look particularly good. None of those goals were remotely soft. It usually takes a couple of those saves to move on in a game like this and unfortunately for Oswego he couldn't come up with them, but this isn't on him. Whoever lost this game was going to feel like they had their chances.
On a side note, great job by Webb. He sounded like a seasoned vet in there.

Correct Prez...this was a "team effort"...no one person more responsible than the next.....SNC had a game plan that worked - Oswego had no answers...

As in most games of this caliber it was the errors that decided the game giving the puck up at the blue line (Twice) and a power play goal.
the best team on the ice tonight won (just thought I use a Cardinal saying)
The "third place" game will be played next fall, maybe the first part of November

First let me say congrat to ST Norberts of taking advantage of Oswego's mistakes and that was the difference in the game. Oswego just laid an egg tonight. For the first 30 minutes they looked confused on the ice surface, lost a step, and just not the team that I have seen over 15 times this year. I thought Oswego did a great job staying out of the box. I thought the Lakers would have used the bigger ice surface to their advantage but it actually worked against them. Time ran out when Oswego appeared to be the dominate team that they are. For those who have seen STN how does this rate with the way they usually play? I really don't think STN did anything to disrupt Oswego at all. They just took care of the opertunities better than Oswego did.
Congrats to a young Laker team and to a terrific season. Be Proud of this season and grow on it for next year.

To paraphrase an old saying "2/3 of the world is water, and the rest was covered by the SNC defense.". They were terrific and we rarely found open ice.

I am no expert on OSU or SNC. Have not seen either all season but based on the game between the two that I saw yesterday--LakeEagleLover has given a fair and balanced assessment of what happen in this game. SNC came to play and won.
