Re: NCAA Rankings 2/19/13
I think you're on to something Laker28 ! That would explain a few things.

What a bunch of hogwash! One thing for a bunch of internet hacks to speculate on who can do what based on how numbers get manipulated but if the NCAA really is doing this same kind of speculation, round up the lynch mob now.
Regular season is over. If you don't win in playoffs you don't deserve to move on.
I don't think there is any doubt Oswego is a Pool C if they lose. There would be no other reason to keep them ranked where they are. Bend over Hobart !
...if they all would just roll their own, the process might not be any faster, but it would be more enjoyable....This is the "smoke filled thread" and it's all crooked cigarettes !!!

There is a great comment on "the other message board" that speculates that Oswego's ranking is purely in case they win the SUNYAC Saturday, it would put the Lakers in position, given the current rankings, to host a potential match-up with Adrian. Since both are three seeds and the last weekend is being held in the east, Oswego would host that game. The further speculation is that should the Lakers lose on Saturday, you'll see their ranking drop enough that they wouldn't get in at all.
All of that makes sense. I know a few Plattsburgh fans keep wondering (myself included) how the Cardinals can be ranked that far below Oswego. This is the most plausable explanation I've heard.
Check out bracketology on the other thread. It had Adrian staying out west playing. UC and Oswego meeting in Placid in the semi's !
No it doesn't !! Look again !Bracketology just released !
...attaboy...I looked again... Oswego plays Plymouth State and Utica play Wentworth in Wednesday play-ins. The winner of those games play in a QF game Saturday, March 9th. The winner of that game goes to LP to play the winner of Eau Claire and Saint Johns (or whoever wins the MIAC) in the semis.

As a Laker fan, I like the fact that Oswego faces Plattaburgh this wknd...hopefully moves on to the tournament and using the other site's bracketology, survives and advances out of the play-in game, it will be Oswego v Utica at The Aud for the chance to get to Placid...the opportunity to beat the two teams that beat you twice...awesome.
Get with the program! Its looking like UC can host on Saturday.Better yet, the potential matchup with Utica is the weekend they can't host - the game could be in Oswego!
See UC thread - the HS games have been moved in case Utica advances....I believe the game will be in The Aud if both advance and the bracket as suggested is how it plays out...Better yet, the potential matchup with Utica is the weekend they can't host - the game could be in Oswego!
