NCAA Quarterfinal Thread: Elmira vs Oswego State

Re: NCAA Quarterfinal Thread: Elmira vs Oswego State

That's interesting. Last week all of the Platty fans were in the section right behind their bench. Would would they not sell tickets on that section?

Besides, if you're in section 51, you'll be at the end where your team shoots twice. There really isn't a bad seat in the CC.

Watching high caliber hockey which teams like Oswego nearly always have the potential to provide (i.e. high caliber hockey requires two teams) makes every seat a good seat, but that said, section 51 IS the WORSE in the Campus Center - it is in the corner with it's top row's right-most seats very close to being bad. Also, they "plan" there SRO assuming Standing Rows an average of 2.5 people deep. I do love the place though.

Re: EC in a nutshell

Trying to order fix online, what a joke, Called the box office, put on hole for 10 mins, then hung up on me, called back, still nothing, Oh wait, just got someone on the phone, asked for section 53, told they are putting Elmira people in sec. 51, What a F**g joke, come on people, we deserve seats behind our bench, went through this for the first game up there this year.
Give us some of the ****tiest seat in the house.

You should be able to move around at the game this weekend once everyone gets settled in. Students on break, High School in Utica for State Final Four, and Pee Wee State Tournament at municipal rink = many empty seats. Just buy a ticket, and the Elmira faithful will be able to group together once the game begins near your bench.

the girl in the box office told me EC fans are receiving section 53 and 51., doors open at 6, grab your favorite seat behind EC's bench! 51 is on the end.

Abviously, you had a different girl than I did. The tickets are bought, pick up at will-call. 97osu, I'll do that, got to be some empty seats in that section, as long as the ushers don't kick us out. My son did call today also, he was told that section 53 was being saved for "Players/family, and the "other" fans were being put in section 51. Oh well, I'll be at the game and have a seat, last time we had to stand.

Bought my tickets at 10AM also, and I'm sitting in section 51. Would be nice to meet some of the posters. I'll be the good looking young man in the purple polo! Just excited to be there, hope for a good game.

Re: EC in a nutshell

As my "handle" and signature implies, I have a foot in each camp...I graduated from Oswego in '77, watching the GREAT Lakers in Romney, a blackberry brandy filled wine sack hanging under an oversized snorkel coat to get past the "pat down" at the door watching Preston, Sisman, Ane, Gabrielle...My daughter graduated from Elmira in '10, a two year captain of ECWS and President of Intramural Athletics, I was able to get to know Tuttle, Masters, Schrank and Moore at "The Branch Office", an Oswego bar if there ever was one in the Southern Tier....

Make No Mistake - I am rooting for and expecting a Laker victory...but I want to share my respect for the Soaring Eagles and their program...I have not been following as long as Prez, who had a purple and gold baby blanket from all accounts, but I still have enough purple stuff to get out of a speeding ticket on Route 17....:D

I am looking forward to an exciting, hard fought game that reflects the blood, sweat and tears each team and their coaching staffs have shed in this season. I trust our visitors from Elmira will enjoy the hospitality of the Campus Center and the Oz home crowd. Finally, I am going to enjoy Hockey Night In Oswego on WTOP and WNYO...:)

One week from today - Lake Placid, New York. Do you believe in Lakers? Yessss!!!!

Well, I must be considered "family" cause I'm in Section 53. Go figure :)

I love the Elbow Room and their wings. That was where we hung out after the EC games when I came to EC.

Went to the Branch a couple of times, great hangout for the students, not so much for big sister ;)

Should be in Oswego @ 5PM tomorrow. Anyone recommend somewhere to eat/drink before the game? Thinking of Greene's Ale House!

Still cannot think about the shed without bringing back to mind Bucks and Broadwells:D......and a whole bunch more:eek:
Yep....I can remember going to the Laker games and rushing to either Bucklands or Barney's for $1.50 pitchers. AAAAhhh those were the days!!!!!!
