Then stop picking outdoor summer sport athletes as a justification of training practices for indoor winter sport athletes.
 
I get not wanting to think that one's alma mater is/was somehow involved in a nefarious coverup, but these so-called "institutions" do this stuff and act this way in order to cover their asses all the time, just like HR at a corporation. It's one of the reasons why I don't donate money directly to Tech after some of their antics in the last 15 years, only to specific student organizations.

Fair enough statement, but when its nice outside, why not? There are a few other indoor sports that practice outdoors besides indoors:
Basketball, Volleyball, Indoor Soccer, Martial Arts, Wrestling as a means of endurance building

Unfortunately, people at any institutions can get carried away, momentarily lose their judgement, make poor choices.........I agree with you. The facts need to come out. We'll see what the lawsuit brings out.

So why do you bring up other athletes that didn’t have problems? Doing that blatantly says that it was the victim that was the problem since others don’t have problems.

Before sticking your neck out too far, you may want to just wait to see what happens. That’s what I’m doing with the accusations against our program. I hope they are wrong, but am not assuming they are.

What other schools are wondering?
The reported that stated that the program might shut down now reported the athletes took a vote and decided to continue the program. Lots of hearsay and 2nd hand news floating around.

Good question, and maybe I didn't communicate properly. I brought it up because its a fact, not rumor, not innuendo, not fake news. I don't know if the athlete that had the issue had anything to do with the outcome. But if there is a health problem that was undetected then he shouldn't get any blame. It could be ASU didn't vet him properly as neither the Blues nor Clarkson nor Ontario did, or didn't. We don't yet know. Extrapolating that I was blaming the athlete is your conclusion, not mine.

I don’t see why you are comparing the victim with other athletes. Either you are blaming him, or it suggests that conditions were very different. You tell me what your point is.

None of those are played on ice. Are you being intentionally obtuse?
 
Article from The Athletic dropped over night. ASU should be sanctioned into oblivion and everyone involved in the coaching staff should be fired.

Period, full stop.

ASU is going to be paying for this young man's death for a long time.

Here is what you stated, that I replied to:

You didn't state anything about being played on ice. So because you didn't like my answer you have to change the narrative so it sounds like, in your opinion, being obtruse??? Being played on ice doesn't mean you do push ups, weight lifting, chin ups, etc......on ice.

If the article is accurate and true, then I agree with you about the coaching staff.
