Given the abuse that a doctor got away with during most of that same time, I can’t say I’m shocked. Just sad, disappointed, and angry. No way.
Almost like it is planned that way so the Michigan Men (and women) that allowed it to happen face zero consequences.Given the abuse that a doctor got away with during most of that same time, I can’t say I’m shocked. Just sad, disappointed, and angry.
And nobody is realistically around that can actually deal with the consequences of their lack of action.
But who planned it that way?Almost like it is planned that way so the Michigan Men (and women) that allowed it to happen face zero consequences.
Perpetrators justify that it is a bonding exercise. It shows how committed you are to the team and your teammates. Which is bullshit. My "hazing" was having to sing the Maine Stein Song at the airport. It was supposed to be more, but I ...uh..."got lost" on the way to the farmhouse.(and I just don't get the concept of hazing- what does it serve? Other than putting people in "a place" relative to other people- which really shows that the abuser is a worthless person and they only way they get away from that is when they have power over other people)
Not necessarily. Plenty of research out there that shows that if two people have two different paths to the same outcome/reward, one easy path and one hard path, the person who got there the hard way ends up claiming that the reward is far more valuable than the person who obtained it easily. For them to admit that the reward was worth less, they'd have to admit that they wasted all that effort to get it - and people do not like admitting that they made that kind of mistake. Therefore, the reward must have been worth the pain.Perpetrators justify that it is a bonding exercise. It shows how committed you are to the team and your teammates. Which is bullshit. Coaches often do not know about the bad stuff. It happened right under my nose when I coached high school and I never had any idea. It wasn't until after I had left that it was discovered. It was a sickening feeling.
And that's a BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!As mentioned in another forum: (paraphrasing)
“I’m sure this will result in the NCAA further sanctioning the University of Minnesota men’s basketball team for academic violations in the 90s.”

Not to mention expecting anyone, even a D1 athlete, to be fully acclimatized in less than a week is ridiculous.
Do they get denied water breaks? Forgive me for believing that you are being slightly dishonest in cherry picking your examples.Numerous high school and college football teams from other climates show up every week for Phoenix, Tucson, Casa Grande........games either 2 -3 days before or even the same day.
They are being weirdly obsessive about trying to paint the situation as ASU did nothing wrong. And not just in this thread but also, for some reason, in the UAA thread on the D1 side.Do they get denied water breaks? Forgive me for believing that you are being slightly dishonest in cherry picking your examples.
Of course not, who said they or he didn't get adequate water. Oh, that's right, a plaintiffs lawyer which are known to be sensationalists and liars. Let's stick to known facts ok?Do they get denied water breaks? Forgive me for believing that you are being slightly dishonest in cherry picking your examples.
I haven't read anything about anyone being obsessive about trying to paint the situation as ASU did nothing wrong. What I do see is a lot of people obsessively painting ASU as being guilty until proven innocent based on hearsay and not fact nor reality. Seems like a lynch mob mentality going on, but just my objective observation. They are being weirdly obsessive about trying to paint the situation as ASU did nothing wrong. And the post wasn’t even by me. Another UAA poster mentioned that it was rumored that ASU might not play this season and talked about how UAA is scheduled to play them this year. All of the sudden this person leaps in ranting about “plaintiffs lawyers” and “don’t believe the media”.
Fucking weird.
If the players on the current team are contemplating not playing, that sure seems like there is merit to the complaints.I haven't read anything about anyone being obsessive about trying to paint the situation as ASU did nothing wrong. Okay, lets stick to known facts. SHOW us the fact that they did get adequate water!Of course not, who said they or he didn't get adequate water. Oh, that's right, a plaintiffs lawyer which are known to be sensationalists and liars. Let's stick to known facts ok?
What players are contemplating not playing due to this incident? If the players on the current team are contemplating not playing, that sure seems like there is merit to the complaints.
They are the ones in control of the rest of the season, since it will take a lot of time to litigate this.
Ok, it's what I've stated all along, let's stick to known facts. I don't know that they did or didn't get water, I never claimed such either way. But since you asked in that accusatory tone, SHOW us the fact that they were denied water!Okay, lets stick to known facts. SHOW us the fact that they did get adequate water!
Since other schools are wondering, seems kinda ominous. What players are contemplating not playing due to this incident?
I never said or accused either way. You did.Ok, it's what I've stated all along, let's stick to known facts. I don't know that they did or didn't get water, I never claimed such either way. But since you asked in that accusatory tone, SHOW us the fact that they were denied water!
