Lmao Arizona state hung a banner for 2019-2020 ncaa tournament. Not sure exactly when they did it but a picture of it was recently posted to Reddit
Was that the one that didn't even happen?

Bingo. I think asu was ranked around 12 when season called- so with auto bids they may not have even made it

There were fans who wanted us to hang a banner at Lynah because we were #1 when the Pox Nix happened.
The rest of us told them to look at the 67 and 70 banners and be patient.
Looks like Maine might be back on the national stage.
Whew, that Joe Shawhan audio clip isn't looking too good, is it?

The Daily Mining Gazette (the local Houghton fishwrap) appears to be remaining totally silent on the allegations against Shawhan. Meanwhile, it seems MTU has completed its review of the allegations, with no further comment thus far. The fan bloggers who run Tech Hockey Guide have decided that the story should be pursued by a professional journalist going forward, and I have been assured that this was their decision alone and not a result of any threat to access from the coach, program, or university. It wouldn't be the first time the school has flexed their legal muscle to try and suppress a negative story, so I had concerns, but I get it. The THG guys have jobs and lives outside of this and don't have the time to devote to pursuing the story in the responsible and ethical manner it deserves, nor do they have any insurance in the event of a defamation lawsuit.
At any rate, with no further information at this time, it's looking like this is all going to blow over despite the threatening audio. Maybe Marcinkevics really did just want to stir the pot after abruptly departing the program last month following an apparent dispute with Shawhan over his play and subsequent benching & removal from the team. However, Shawhan's recent history of gaffes and poor decision-making (i.e., the handshake fight) leaves him with zero benefit of the doubt from me, unless/until further evidence which exonerates him comes to light.
The Bowling Green Police Department released their report on the reported hazing incident. See the link below for the full report. Summary: Swankler filed a report alleging hazing violations. The police then interviewed Swankler and 7 freshmen and sophomores. Each denied hazing occurred, all activities were voluntary, no one felt any pressure, all felt it was a positive event. The stories from the freshmen were nearly identical including the response to the question "Why do you think Swankler would do this?" Their response: he stole shoes from the equipment room, got caught and decided to burn the place down rather than accept the consequences (there were quite a few references to Swankler being a lousy teammate). The BG police determined no hazing occurred and elected not to file charges. My take: Rookie Day is maybe not the best way to conduct a team building exercise.
Eigner was reinstated two weeks back, it looks like the final two players who were on suspension for violating the university code of conduct (providing alcohol to underage teammates) will be dressing this weekend.
